- Here are a couple of Ortega entry level classical guitars - the R121 spruce model and the R122 Cedar model. Really nice for this price range. What do you think?

I own 2 Oretag classical guitar and I have to say that the Ortega classical guitars are well made.
They are decent!
Like the color of the 2nd one, R22, you show.
Cedar? Yes, me too.
I am a lefty and came across your video after looking for reviews for these particular Ortega guitars because I am a lefty and Ortega makes a lefty version for almost everything they offer. I would have loved to hear both of these two guitars back-to-back to hear the differences between the spruce and Cedar top... what real differences in tone did you find between these two guitars?
It's been a while since I've had these - but all the Ortega guitars I've set up were good value. Which model are you considering?
@@FlowforthInstruments I am looking into these that you demonstrated...r121 or r122
@@alexanderholden82 They are very similar - just depends what woods you prefer.
Books! Nice vid!
Paper books are coming back!
The bass and treble 'E' strings wind from center outward... Classicals never have fretboard marker dots unless for beginners. The modestly priced Cordobas (C3-C7) are a good value in pretty good classicals.
I know that traditionally they don't have fret-markers - but a lot of manufacturers are putting them on student models these days.
how it the action on this guitar?
Fantastic after my set up.
@@FlowforthInstruments did you have to change a lot?
@@patrick.771 Considerable set up - mostly fret work.
@@FlowforthInstruments thank you, I just found your video from 2018 where you explained it in detail ;-)
@@patrick.771 Great - hope you get a good one.
Hi Daniel! As far as I know Sonokelin is an artificial material
I think it's a form of Rosewood, not Walnut.
Flowforth Instruments You're right!I thought it was kind of a resin/wood compound...
Is the neck 52mm?
Sorry I no longer have it and can't measure it for you. Check the website specs.
