In other words, no matter what Bronny did at USC, ESPN had him covered. If Bronny averaged 4.8 ppg it was because his game is suited for iso pro ball and open court 3s with no defense. If he had won Pac-12 freshman of the year, they would be saying that he's a top 2 pick and a future superstar.

Welcome to the NBA: Nepotism Basketball Association
Juju Watkins is more ready to go pro than this dude..
How can you say he will be a good NBA player if he’s not even a decent college player ? Weird
Happened plenty of times
He’s literally doing what just about every player does nowadays and that’s “test the waters”. I’m pretty sure he’ll do all the pre draft stuff, workouts, combine, and he’ll gather all his evaluations and then take his name out of draft and spend every single day getting stronger and working on those evaluations just so he can no doubt be a 1st rd pick next year.
Exactly. No one talks about him entering the transfer portal at the same time. Plenty of kids do this, and it's all about seeing what his options are. It's still possible that another big name school position comes calling with a starting position. Also, plenty of teams take flyers on kids in the 2nd round and make no mistake he cares more interest than any of those flyers. It's funny hearing people talk about the process when they have never paid attention to it before.
@@justified004 What’s funny to me is after reading your response, very accurate to btw, but when you said big name school, it immediately made me think about that visit he took to Duke when he was still just a pup. Tho I will admit idk their guard situation that well except for Roach being there about 8 years now on some Van Wilder sh*t. But I’m pretty sure he’s going to have to leave at some point and if this is his last season, you can easily see Bronny being a fit, instantly. If not Duke then you’d have to think it would have to be Ohio State. Tho idk their situation as well. But I do know if his Pop has any say so, he would definitely say Ohio State.
@@chiefgangmusic actually I would think Kentucky is more in play than Duke. If Coach K were at Duke then it would be obvious. Both heavily recruited him in HS, but Kentucky is likely to lose a few guards to the draft. Not to mention his father and Coach Cal have a relationship. He may not be a one and done anymore but Cal could definitely help prepare him for the league. USC underperformed this year and with the coach who recruited him leaving, I think he was bound to enter the portal not matter what. Either way it goes the kid has options. Who know he could be a late 1st rounder if teams show interest in the workouts
@@justified004 Yeah but the thing is with Roach leaving and if they could get Flip to come back, you add a healthy confident and highly motivated Bronny to that squad who just made the elite 8, they immediately become a national Championship contending team with a preseason ranking of no worse than number 2 in the country. If he goes to Kentucky, no matter what he does the whole narrative is going to be “If this is Cal’s last season there”. They’re going to have so much pressure on them to at least win 2 but I’m thinking 3 games in the tourney just for him to keep his job. IMO with Kentucky having an even younger team next year than they did this year, that would be to much to put on Bonny’s shoulders coming off the season he just had. And unless he could turn into 2012’ A.D, he would not get the good positive type of exposure that he would need to turn himself into a legitimate 1st rd pick. That said, I do believe that KU is still a good team to go to. I just think that Duke would be a close to perfect situation for him. Dam near KD GS IMO. They’re already loaded with virtually the same team coming back with the one exception of the PG who only scored 13 pts in 37 mins in their last game. Plus you know they have some absolute Dawgs coming in as freshmen who’s only going to help the cause. But like I said, this is just my opinion.
@@chiefgangmusic you're not wrong but the goal is to improve his draft status. Winning and playing in the tournament afe great but he wants to climb back into the lottery. Kentucky would be a guaranteed improvement in playing time due to the lack guard play there. Also, Cal runs a lot of pro offenses with his lineups. It's a chance to play and prepare for the pros. Kentucky could be losing as many as 4 guards to draft and graduation. Cal has also been know to play guys with draft potential big minutes. Duke is a good choice but I think Kentucky is being overlooked.
Players do this all the time. Enter the draft to test the waters. He still has eligibility. It allows him to be able to participate in pre draft process and gauge interest and compare himself to other potential draftees.
