  • Fearless Fund, a venture capital firm focused on investing in businesses owned by women of color, is fighting a lawsuit claiming that one of its grant programs is discriminatory. The Fearless Fund's legal team argued their case Wednesday before a three-judge panel in a U.S. federal court of appeals in Miami. Black Wall Streets sprung up all over this country within 25-40 years after slavery. They existed in racially segregated communities because that is what white people wanted back then. When they saw former slaves and their descendants being happy and prosperous on their own, they still couldn't handle it. It made them angry.

The audacity to utilize their laws based in racism against someone advocating for diversity, equity and inclusion is astounding. If that many deals and corporate partners were at stake I as a leader would have strategically taken a different route. Because at this point even if you win, it is likely that the corporate partners will not return.
