Alright, who tf is in charge of highlights around here. No introduction, no starting whistle, no lead up to whatever has occurred, it just starts on the ref looking at VAR with no context. I really hope that NWSL eventually hires a person that understands basic story structure and has some basic editing skills and equipment.
Starting right at 8 minutes and watching a ref staring at a screen. Poorly done highlights again, Channel.

My biggest complaint of this year's highlights is only showing subs for players involved in goals. It's such a major spoiler.

This game had a ridiculous amount of cards handed out King getting a red at the very beginning of the game allows. After San Diego scored they did not a good job at all there game looked sloppy and disorganized. I dont know how San Diego STILL lost after King got that red card I was assuming that San Diego would've scored 2 more goals or maybe even more. Also dear nwsl at the begging of highlights please start with the lineups

Got b slapped eye poked and had a spazzy eye the rest of the game. Spot on for me. So was the second. U can argue the yellows and foul calls but i cant really say the reffing was bad.
Can some explain why the two red cards were given? This highlights reel is terrible provided no info.
Violent conduct in both cases. Law 12: "a player who, when not challenging for the ball, deliberately strikes an opponent or any other person on the head or face with the hand or arm, is guilty of violent conduct unless the force used was negligible." (Note that "deliberately", as used in the LotG, doesn't equate to "intentionally", but rather to making a voluntary movement.)
The first red card, the SD player was grabbing Seattle's player and the later threw the arm back to get rid of the grab+ hit whatever came the way of the arm (in this case it was the opponent face).
The second red card was a hard punch on Seattle defender's face that would make many boxers proud.

Last red card is dark-red IMO that should get her 4 games and/or writting 100k times, soccer is not MMA, soccer is not MMA....
If McNabb would have let the play go at the end there instead of clocking Fishlock, it could have been a PK against Seattle.

@@bingsu079 Fishlock put her in a headlock on the first corner as she jumped (Shaw's header, 5:51) followed by a two-arm hugging by Fishlock on the second corner (6:02). I feel McNabb was fouled twice.

You got one player more on the field, you are losing by one, corner in the 8th minute of extra time and you send just 6 to the box. You not even trying
The referee, Danielle Chesky, should be investigated. She made questionable calls during a playoff game last year and made very questionable calls in this match-- especially in the first half. Not to mention, she has officiated all 4 matches with the most cards used in NWSL HISTORY.
You are so right! I don't understand how King got a red card, what was she supposed to do while being pulled? How it's considered violent conduct is beyond me🚶🏾♀️
There were opportunities for the Waves to score but no, Van Egmond and others shot from long distance outside with the HOPE to get PERSONAL GLORY FOR THEMSELVES, result was shameful and lost the game!!!

What a game. Too bad this highlight real did absolutely NO justice in showing that. No starting line-ups, starting AFTER the foul for the red card. Barely showing any replay of fantastic shots or saves. Shocked that the final whistle was shown. Please I am begging you NWSL, edit these videos better. These ladies deserve better recaps than this. Please.

How is Alana Cook’s poor defense (and arguably the Reign’s defense in general) in that moment, minutes after losing a teammate to a red, enough to justify a very over generalized statement calling her “lazy” and having “no guts”? Did you watch the rest of the game?

This was an exiciting game as both teams have very good players however the 1 thing that put the Reign ahead was that 1st goal where the SD goalie came out and did a horrible job.
