Man this video came just at the right time for me. Currently I'm sitting at home with a covid infection, just dreaming of setting sail again. Im 21 years old and last spring I traded my 22ft sailing boat for an 30ft one. Spent whole summer fixing her up and eventually did my first trip at sea: crossing the English Channel with good friends. It's the content like this that keeps inspiring me to work hard to enjoy the good things. Erik, I hope to be able to make adventures like yours some day!

Tusen Takk Erik for allowing the WORLD to see and share a bit of the Norwegian coastline. The spires of Lofoten are possibly the most wonderful scenery anywhere on the planet. Also thanks for letting us meet your beautiful Mom! As I told you earlier, my wife and family are from Tælavåg, just north of your home, and Randi's father was lighthouse keeper at Marstein for many years before his death, so thanks for the quick look at the Bergen light. 99 percent of the videos of the Norway coast are taken from the decks of Hurtigruten boats, so getting the close-in views of some of these small coastal communities is invigorating to me and will last a thousand years to show our future Earthlings how Vikings of the year 2020 mapped their course and set sail for the great unknown out in that dark forbidding ocean called The Norwegian Sea! So good. There are no other sailing channels with anything like this content. Those island towns and old lighthouses are spectacular, the coves and beaches magical.
To avoid losing drones in the future, buy pool noodles, cut them up, and firmly tape them to the legs underneath. In the case that it does take an unexpected plunge, it will float instead of sinking, and allow for you to retrieve it. If you apply a waterproofing product(such as CorrosionX) to the drone escs/controller, it will fair much better in the marine environment. Unfortunately, there is no way of properly waterproofing the camera unless it is already waterproof(such as with a gopro waterproof case). Great videography and sailing as usual!

'NO BULLSHIT, JUST SAILING' You summed it up perfectly Erik
Your journeys are epic and it’s great to have the opportunity to tag along. Thank you.
Erik Martin - amazing!!! Best video we have seen this year and the entire family loved it... you are so very very very talented.... we are watching your videos in our cinema and I hope you will get to experience that as well one day...
So good. There are no other sailing channels with anything like this content. Those island towns and old lighthouses are spectacular, the coves and beaches magical.
As told you in the "preview" comments, Good job, well done, my viking friend.
Your videos are so positively addictive. I am enjoying every second of them.
Thanks so much and be safe in the northern ocean.
I was waiting for this so much since you mentioned you were going to do this epic trip this summer. Safe travels from Finland...
You have outdone yourself again Erik! Enjoying it immensely. Perfect balance of sailing, talking and drone shots! Keep it up and be safe!
Amazing, Can’t wait to see the rest of the journey! ⚓️
that shot above the fog looking down on the boat is magic. very well done!
I saw that tattoo “ I yam what I yam.” at 31:30
Popeye would be proud,😀😀😂😂
Eric! What can I say? Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! Beautiful and inspiring and wonderful! This is the stuff that dreams are made of... Bravo!
Cant wait to see the next part!!! This is nothing short of amazing. Spectacular video shots and ofcourse sailing. Love it. Thanks a lot Erik! Really inspiring. Greetings from the Netherlands

Great movie!
Why don’t you fish often when you’re sailing?
Good point! Can you imagine the cod he could be reeling in? Maybe too busy flying that drone all the time!

Man, this is not only a great adventure but great movie art, better than Hollywood! :)
This is a fantastic documentary! Sound, narration, story, filmography, editing... NBJS? no, I think NBMMTS describes this better: "No Bs, Much More Than Sailing"!
I can‘t believe how you mange to take such amazing shots while sailing in such a demanding sea! Biggest respect. I am enjoying your videos a lot
