i'm 12 years old and in singapore, nunchucks are illegal. You have inspired me to make my own. Sadly, i don't have foam to practice with but i had 2 metal rods (24cm long i think). Then i took an old chain i found and attached it to the rods and practiced. You gave me confidence and i am pretty decent at nunchucks now thanks to you. YOU'RE THE BEST!!!!
I really hope you find one. It would help us a lot to understand the tricks, and your videos would be even more awesome than they already are. Please keep with it!
Ken I have been watching your videos you are giving me some idea on nunchucks. as soon as I get the nunchucks I am going to watch your video. You are cool on nunchucks!
"The world already has me, but the world does not have you yet" or something like that xD, really nice, bro! I've been training with the nunchuks on my own for some time and this is the first video where I learned something. Still, if I had watched your videos I'd understood all those tricks in no time...your videos are awesome!. It would be awesome if you could put real slow motion to your videos (I just saw one of your not-for-begginers videos and those tricks seems as hard as great) .
Though I am (absolutely) not saying that Ken is teaching this incorrectly, I found it easier to learn working the 'center lane' first by doing the hand-over-hand move he shows at around 3:38. Then, once having that down, go back and start working center-lane to the outside-lanes as shown earlier in the video, Neither way is right or wrong...I just found learning in the opposite direction easier.
i love your videos. the are very useful. i'm a 13 year old guy with a new steel nunchuck. i found your videos very useful as i actually learnt the cool tips and tricks u explained in the rest of the videos. man, u r awesome!
dang you are just a brilliant teacher. I plan on making a nunchuk video with a choreagraphed flow scene, and I just needed some guidence. You just provided all I need. 😁😁😁 Now I just have to practise a 3 minuttes flow scene. Thanks a million. More combos 😁😁
Thanks again ken...in finding this very challenging because as I am spinning my nunchaku in my center line is am noticing am not completely 90 degrees am sliding of on a angel away when I'm at 6 of clock then am closer (almost over my hand at 12 of clock) any tips on how to keep my center like line straight...thanks again ken
Hi, very nice tutorials for nunchucks. I've done a little wushu kung fu and stickform to go along with that so its a little easier to get used to the nunchucks. For this video, i found it easier to do 2 circles outside, then 2 circles centerline and again 2 circles outside before going back on top of the shoulder. Probably to get a feel for the distance so i don't hit myself in the face. Thanks for the vids! Very big help!!
Hi Ken, I'm a nunchuck beginner, what kind of nunchuck would you recommend to me? And I also want to know what nunchuck you used in the video? Your answer will be appreciated.
I'm actually using most of these tricks for martial arts reasons. Just to be a little more diverse with the nunchaku. I love these videos, very informative. I have a problem with the reverse spins switch at the end of this video, mainly because I'm extremely dominant right handed. So a lot of left handed activities I can not do without intense training. But I love these. I know this series is for beginners but do you have some intermediate advanced training videos?
I don't know why but I find the rips and the reverse figure 8's really hard..especially with the left hand....hand rolls..no problem, aerial throws..almost no problem..strange these simpler moves I find more difficult.
