Wow, this system has made me reconsider adding a solar system in my van plan. To get a refrig or freezer plus a bonus ice maker is top line. Imagine being able to iced soda or iced coffee in the desert without the worry your bagged ice will be melted in 2 days. Total game changer, total win! If Bluetti plans for more appliances this would conquer compatibility issues and the solar power and pass through on a cooler is just mind blowing
Hey Rick, I love watching you doing reviews on products. You give a lot of good advice of things that everybody would like to know. Good job Rick! Oh hey Linda, hope to see you in the next video.
Amazing product! They are getting better all the time. You’re going to spoil yourself now by having drinks on the rocks out on the road anytime. Enjoy!
This is definitely something that families who are on vacation trips need especially while camping out or are just sightseeing on the road to keep the food and drinks cold but i hope it works out well thanks for your great information in your videos Thank You.🇺🇲🙏🙏🇺🇲
I discovered that my Bluetti EB70 (original model released first) powers my old style tiny Frigidaire manual controls air conditioner on high for over an hour. It draws about 400w max while running and the when compressor turns off it drops to 50w. It`s just another option to my 300ah Ampere Time battery. I dread hurricane season because sunlight is limited on my lot to about 5 hours but at least I can run my air conditioner from solar during the worst heat of the day. At night I can conserve power by only cooling to 90f while sitting in front of the AC.
Wow, Yes. I as well have the EB70 and would never think it could run a small ac unit. That, I will be giving a Hard Try soon. And speaking of soon, I'll bet Bluetti will come up with the Next Best ac cooling unit for us nomads?? I truly hope so as this is still a major problem for us during the summer heat. Help.
Thankyou Rick, good stuff as usual. Since cars don't even come with ash trays anymore, the old, outdated, easily failing and unsecure cigarette lighter 12v port is long overdue for a update. Wish it would go away and be replaced with something less prone to failure and more secure for vibration associated with car travel. Replacing the 12v port with something similar to the solar input on these portable power stations would be far superior IMO. Also, seems like Bluetti should have already developed a small 12-24v dc AC unit by now too? And ofcourse, we all know The Easy Rick Bake a pie oven will make the world a better place when it's released. Thanks again.
I agree on the cigarette lighter plug needing to go, but so many 12v appliances still use them! They aren't the best for making a contact and they certainly can't be trusted to not fall out. I've even had to tape some in place at times. Easy bake pie oven? Now you're talking!
Really enjoy your thorough reviews. This Bluetti product looks really useful - and the next step in off-grid refrigeration and powering options (whether for a nomad, or someone just going shopping [as you suggested]). Thanks for this review! Those removable batteries - Amazing!

Outstanding video any my AC180T & Cooler will be delivered Tomorrow. I’m stoked for our Van trip to Canada and Glacier NP. Keep the Video Coming…👍👍👍👍💥💥💥💥
This was a very useful review of some innovative and useful products. I have no interest in an ice maker or anything else with water outside a sealed container, but for a drinker who wants ice cubes in their Scotch at a campsite, well, here they go, dream come true. I just freeze water/drink bottles in a 12V freezer, and swap them out into soft cooler bags to use as a fridge for leftovers, etc. That way, I always have bottled drinks in various stages of melting in the cooler and freezing in the freezer. By far the best feature of these two Bluetti products, to me, would be the removable batteries used in both devices. As you say, dividing up the weight of a heavy and bulky power station into lighter chunks for moving it around, is getting more and more important as power stations just keep getting bigger and bigger. As a Prius camper, the only device I'm going to give up a serious block of space for is my 50 liter freezer behind the passenger seat, under my pillow. I wouldn't want a big power station if someone gave it to me, except to resell it or give it away. I tuck a battery here, a charger there, an inverter hidden away behind the dash feeding outlets and 12V/USB/other ports wherever I want, etc. I also like having all of that bolted and wired into place, a nightmare for someone to try to steal, versus one portable box ready to steal in a second and sell in 2 minutes. So, I've personally soured on the idea of big power stations, preferring to build a custom system into the vehicle, and just have a small portable power station which I can charge from my main system. My 300Wh sub-$200 LiFePO4 power station from 3 years ago is doing fine, as is my $250 fridge which I use as a freezer. A mini 100Ah (1280Wh) drop-in LiFePO4 battery that I paid $246 for last year, now dips under $200. An even smaller 50Ah battery I have now dips under $100. So, today, I have 1920Wh of pretty compact storage that I paid $400 for, but can replace it for $300. Mass-produced power stations versus custom systems from dreaming up exactly what components you want, both have their place. Not everyone is a DIYer, and some might not be able to figure out what to build or how to get the specs right. Hence the tremendous success of products by Bluetti, EcoFlow, and so forth. You just buy them and are ready to go. The downsides are price, and more importantly to me, the space taken up with no option to put part of it here and part of it there. Nobody is fitting one of those behind their dashboard or under a seat. I think the icemaker was a mistake by a marketing genius, and the warranty/service departments and customers are likely to suffer for it. Really, who has had an icemaker in their fridge at home, and not had one problem or another with its reliability or trying to keep it from getting gross? That is without bouncing it down the road while it's operating. Time will tell whether it becomes a cult product coveted by many, or a niche product that becomes defunct and an asterisk in the history of 12V fridges. I hope they make a version without the ice maker, and put the space to a different use. Maybe a compartment that is used to defrost food by blowing the waste heat out through the compartment. Could throw wet gloves and socks in there, too. Now, that would be more useful to me, than ice cubes.
Have you upgraded your Prius main battery to LiFePo4? I did on a 2009 and it improved the MPG. Losing almost half the battery weight also helps. The NexCell kit has more usable capacity than the NiMH original due to how LiFePo4 can be drained much lower and isn't botherd being at 100% charge for long periods. NexCell figured out a way to trick the Prius system so that it "thinks" its only allowing a NiMH battery to range between 30% to 80% charge when the LiFePo4 is going between near 0 and 100%. They're on revision 2.5 now. Second version PCBs with auto balancing plus a firmware update to slightly boost the voltage for better starting in extreme cold and additional vent holes in the modules. They'll do the 2.0 to 2.5 updates for free. I bought the original then the 2.0 PCBs. I haven't done that swap yet. If I ship the modules to NexCell along with the 2.0 PCBs they'll install them at no charge too. But I don't want to have the Prius out of service for however long it takes to ship to California, get the updates, then ship back. Contemplating a road trip. 😅
Thats a nice nice unit. Someday ill have something like that in my work van. Sometimes i spend 13 or 14 hours a day in there and many days i eat all 3 meals a day. If i had a fridge and a way to heat food id be in good shape. Ben from Semper Gumbie sent me over here. New subscriber.
Wow. What an amazing system. I love the idea of removable batteries. I didn’t see you show it but is there a way to charge the battery on the battery itself or does it have to be in the refrigerator or power station
It’s definitely neat. Feel like it’s long overdue. Hopefully they perform well for a good long time. Probably won’t be long before other companies come out with something similar.
Welp with my power, I have a full sized home fridge in Taj-Ma-Haul BUT, in the Summer I’m in the Sonoran desert and this would be nice for errands that include groceries. They can keep fresh while I’m getting other tasks done on the same outing. Pie and Ice Cream need protection 😅
Now ain't that the cats meow!!!😂 As always, it's nothing I'll ever purchase, but if I was in the market for the cooler and the power station, this would be exactly what I'd get! Great job on the presentation!!!
This would be a nice set up in a box truck or van....Would like to use the cooler strictly has a freezer to go with another more cheaper portable fridge...
I can't say, except that Bluetti always make top-of-the-line equipment. However I was impressed by how long the ice cubes lasted in the unrefrigerated tray.
This one is the first to use flowing water to make ice and will make it continuously and is also the first to use LiFePO4 batteries, which are safer and last many times longer than lithium ion.
@gonagain I agree, I did buy the integrated battery so I can go on road trips. I did buy the Delta 2 Max for the upgraded battery technology I've seen other reviews and those little thin chips of ice this thing makes doesn't even compare it to the legitimate ice cubes my Glacier makes so I'm still pretty settled with my purchase. My ice maker is also going to be a lot easier to clean!
So bluetti copied ecoflow’s fridge freezer ice maker with removable batteries but just came out with theirs a year later with larger batteries than ecoflow has.
My ecoflow definitely makes better ice cubes than this. Holy crap these look like they're going to fall apart and melt really quickly and it looks like this unit is going to be more difficult to clean. Ecoflow just has little round pegs sticking up out of the bottom that get cold. This has all those little crevices and corners. I would definitely recommend using distilled water in this thing. I couldn't imagine trying to clean it out if it isn't meant to be easily disassembled which I can't imagine it would be being a refrigerated grid plate😅
Plus mine has more space inside and it is Dual Zone. I was kind of excited for this I'm sad that I jumped for the Eco flow Glacier but now I'm pretty happy with my purchase
@@eaw7582 yeah. Like their traveling videos but kinda lost trust now in reviews. I already own a Bluetti and a Jackery. Bluetti customer service is bad. The replacement they finally sent me ended up having the same problem the first one did as well. Don’t feel like spending another 3 months fighting for replacement so back to using lil Jackery for inverter stuff and Bluetti just for dc stuff. Never buy that brand again. Should’ve tried the ecoflow.
This isn't a product review, it's an introduction of a new product. The Bluetti refrigerator is the first to use running water to make ice, like the ice maker in your home refrigerator. It's also the worlds first to use a LiFePO4 battery, which is safer than EcoFlow's lithium ion battery and lasts many times longer.
@@gonagainI've never seen nor heard of a home refrigerator ice maker that uses flowing water. They fill a row of chambers with water then when it freezes the chambers are heated slightly then plungers raise or levers rotate down to scoop out semi-circular ice "cubes".
it's cool, but it isn't the first one to have an icemaker or removable battery. the ecoflow glacier has been out for awhile now and has similar features.
@@gonagain before you replied, I watched other videos where they said the fridge is off during ice maker operation. Their website doesn’t confirm either. Wish someone could test for sure, with & without battery plugged in
Ecoflow Glacier was before this. The cooling compartment has a removable divider and website info say its "dual zone" but doesn't specify if with the divider one side can freeze while the other doesn't. Nor is it clear if the icemaker compartment can be used as a freezer without making ice. Glacier's batteries are slightly less than 300 watt hours and Ecoflow rates them to run the unit for 40 hours. The batteries have their own power outputs and can charge without a special box by plugging them into USB-C. One review of the battery says charging them that way is very slow. Want wheels and a long handle? Ecoflow charges extra for those.
So... you can have one side freezer and one side refrigerator, but the way the coolant flows they recommend using the smaller side as a freezer because you can only set the larger left hand compartment 20° cooler than the right hand smaller side in dual zone mode, so it doesn't work well trying to make the bigger compartment a freezer and the smaller compartment the refrigerator. I got just over 20 hours out of the battery as single zone deep freeze, set to 0°F while the unit was sitting in my living room set to 70° F (on the thermostat, but I didn't actually measure the temperature of the room with anything separate). I was over 36 hours in Dual Zone with one side fridge and one side freezer, I do not remember the temperature I had the refrigerator set at but it was whatever Google recommended while the freezer side was always set to 0°F. The battery wasn't completely dead but I was leaving so I plugged it in. There was food in it so it wasn't empty while I was doing the testing. The ice maker area is just that, an ice maker. It is not a cooled space and it's probably not recommendable to store anything in there except maybe a rag to wipe it out with when you're done using it. THE ICE CUBES are FAR better in my Ecoflow Glacier in the same amount of time.
Dometic have a cooler with IM too. Batteries "slightly" less??? Also the Ecoflow battery is not LFP? Bluetti fridge do have ports for charging phone etc., it just sits on the side of the box, not directly on the battery. Anker Everfrost have a battery that is specific to be used independent too, but not LFP either.
@mikael3201 yeah I think they did it to keep the weight down for how much energy they need to keep the unit running for more than a day so ecoflow used old li-ion technology in the Glacier batteries not the new lithium iron phosphate
@mikael3201 oh no absolutely not. The Glacier uses vacuum insulated panels which makes it a little bit lighter and have thinner walls but better insulation than its competitors for one and it works beautifully it was as a dual zone as long as you make the smaller compartment the freezer. It's sitting in my dining room right now as a mini deep freeze because I did a road trip and picked up stuff from a store that I don't have access to locally 😆 I LOVE IT. I also don't often keep very many ice cubes around just a small dish in my freezer but when I'm going to have company I plug it into the wall and I make ice cubes. Sure it takes 20 minutes to get a decent batch of ice cubes but if I start before people show up I can have a couple batches for the first round of cocktails and then while we're hanging out I can just make some more ice. You can set it so it chirps when it finishes or it'll send a notification to your phone
I need to catch up with your videos. It looks to me like you’ll be needing a bigger trailer.. lol. With that said though do you ever think about a bigger cargo trailer? Or something like a snoozy camper?
We've thought about a bigger trailer many times and have discussed it in depth, but it always comes back to this little trailer because it's able to handle the rough roads and tight spaces that we sometimes find ourselves in. This one just works for us.
They need to make a refrigerator that looks like a real refrigerator. Also some other guy showed a different model. I hope to see you using this product. The other guy likely will not. He talks good but his actions don't match his reviews! He just installed a different brand few months before! And of course told how good it was" just was installing". At same time saying how good the old one was "that only lasted 3 years. I got a 12 volt Deep Freezer because that is how I use it. I have small 3.2 refrigerator that I use. The Deep Freeze seems to run very often. I figure it used as many watts. 1000 watt power box, with 200 solar panel. Sunshine basically could go for ever. Now I'm going to run Deep Freezer on Battery so maybe I can see how much it will use. These Solar Panels are portable for it so it will not charge on go. My Refrigerator has those little joke freezer part in top. Put bottle in there and forget it, OH it was frozen. I just freeze bottles. I got Ice Maker but that thing takes 1500watt to start. I don't have nothing to start it in this trailer. Bottles for water to drink seems best. Sure freeze your insulated bottle just don't completely fill it or anything.

Yes, our favorite grocery store is in Helena, about 90 miles away. So look out, WinCo, here we come.(After the snow goes away)

Looks like a good option Rick. Bluetti makes quality products. 🤠
These are interesting products. I like the removable batteries in the power station.
Me too!

Stay tuned, she wants to tell you about a fantastic smoked pork recipe.

Thank you, so if you really need dual zone, buy two small independent cool boxes instead and use one as a freezer and one as a fridge?
Rick, does the bluetti 180t come with thebatteries?
Also does refrigerator come with vattery
Absolutely it does. The refrigerator doesn't and that's why these are sold as sets.
Can the multicool fridge/freezer run by plugging it in to a power station and not be powered by the battery?
It sure can.
Price tag?????
The prices are in the video description.
We put this one in our trailer for using this season, so we'll see how it stands up to the rough roads that we travel.
Great review Rick but you are getting spoiled camping 😂
Wow!
Pity AC180T doesn't have a RV plug output.
👍
Can't understand why my comment keeps disappearing from your page.
Lol. I replied to someone. Decided to remove it and can’t find it to remove. Go figure.
