I appreciate your comments about Lomas Del Centenario, a community of hundreds of properties I developed, and built most of the homes shown. With a half century of experience still building quality homes.

You had me at Marine Biology! I'd be trying to volunteer my first day there.
We currently live in Costa Rica, after spending 2.5 years in Chapala. We're looking to return to Mexico because we miss it (we left due to family obligations in Costa Rica). La Paz is on our short list.

Is there a place in summer in BCS that is a bit cooler, maybe by the pacific, where you could take your RV when it gets too hot and humid?

Ian’s comment on the blown tire is SO correct. People here will stop and help and refuse compensation. Blanca says it’s a family city and it’s so correct. It’s a wonderful place to live

Wonderful to see Blanca speaking of the beautiful city of La Paz. Being snow birds from Canada, we are there Nov to April or May. A most beautiful city and amazing friendly people. We met Blanca many years ago when we were first building our home. A fabulous lady who is always there to help you.

I keep hearing that La Paz is safe, but then I continually see RVers and visitors talking about getting robbed or extorted by unbelievable number of La Paz Police? So which is it? Being robbed or shaken down by police on a regular basis doesn't seem safe to me, that doesn't happen anywhere in the US.

My husband and I live in Maryland, are in our 70s, and want to move to Mexico. Our social security income post taxes is $2,500. We want to sell our house and may get $100,000-$200,000 after that sale. Can we meet the financial requirement to get permanent residency in Mexico. We want to move next summer. Janine Smith

Yes to all the above after 4 weeks in BCS. Most of it in LaPaz.
To add to the great street food on 2 occasions. 4 tamales for 120 pesos split between 2 people, incredible Verde sauce on the side. 200 pesos for 4 deluxe and delicious tacos with all condiments one could imagine. So good.

I drive from Oregon to Los Cabos 2 x a year, the only time i've ever been shaken down by the police was in La Paz 4 years ago) on a Sunday... it was a bad experience until we managed to convience the cop that we knew his Captain. He let us off with a warning....but it wasn't a great experience. He kept us for more than an hour telling us we couldn't leave town and they wouldn't give me back our Drivers License (US license) and we couldn't drive without it and finally he would NOT issue us a ticket. We finally said we were calling the police station and he told us they were closed and had to wait until Monday...when I ha the phone in my hand is when he gave me the warning...it was a bad experience so I'm wondering if you can comment on the local police and what the current 'moral compass' of the local police is.
