Thank you and Alek! In my top 5 artists of all time definitely. Alek creates some of the most interesting and emotional melodies while the other parts of the tracks are often beautifully and very uniquely robust and dark, there's something I haven't managed to find in other NRG artists' pieces. Good artists and music but not for me. The best single describing word could be magical. Száhala's tracks have really lifted me and helped to feel deeply since I was 14 or 15, about ten years of fine moments. All tracks are great, especially Starfall, Aurinko, Nabassu, Chimaera trance edit and Stative II.
I agree and very well worded. There is something magical, cosmic, holy, and yet so dark and powerful about this style that remains uncaptured in other music - besides betwixt & between.
In the music there's an understanding of what gets me up in the morning, ready to face another day. I wish this type of dark/hard freeform/nrg would make a comeback. FINRG FOREVER!

kabouterrobot it's called NRG. it was actually kinda popular in the early 2000s in Holland. Parties like Impulz often featured NRG dj's. The particular style of Alek is called FinRG, it's a bit faster than normal nrg. Popular dj's on Impulz were guys like Tom Harding and Yoji Biomehanika.

It is name freeform hardcore and hard dance. FINRG is the name of the finnish collective that made hard dance music. Freeform was born in UK in late 90s and Alek and others took to the next level. I recommend Lost Soul, Electronica Exposed, Douglas, Beetwin and Betwixt and of course the creators Sharkey and Kevin Energy.
