Emma you are bang on about style evolving in 30s ~ I am 45 & most of my wardrobe from the last 10 years are classic investments I still shop seasonal peace’s but my aesthetic has become well made peace’s that compliment my figure & make me feel confident & comfortable
As a 21 year YOUNG (loved that!), it is so amazing to watch someone older than me talking about the processes that I'm currently going through, such as experimenting with color and texture. Changing and evolving is the most beautiful part of live! Love from Brazil
I can resonate with your "turning 30" comment. It's around that age I started to truly assess my style based on quality. I've steered away from trends and have focused more on timeless pieces. I suddenly took an interest in learning about fabrics and fit. I also remind myself to buy pieces that fit my lifestyle and flatter my body type. When I was younger I would buy pieces in hopes I'd wear it one day, but they weren't practical for me at the time. They ended up occupying precious closet real estate. Live n learn.
Love the evolution. The past makes the present. I don't regret the way I used to dress. Style changes all of Thee time! It's an expression of who you are at that time! LOVE IT!
This was such an awesome video! My parents let me wear whatever I picked out and girl it was a hot mess but I loved it. I feel like as a fellow retail worker you really get exposed to so much. You get to play around with “fashion” and play around with different looks and really figure out what your style. I’m still in an every eclectic stage of my journey. I think you have great style, I also have for several years adopted the more neutral look. I live in Florida USA were the weather is ridiculously warm in summer and bipolar in winter. As crazy as it sounds we sometimes wear shorts, long sleeves sweatshirts and flip flops in winter, we joke around and call it Florida style. I love jewelry, especially vintage jewelry, I like to use that to elevate my outfits. I also love shoes and handbags but like you, I'm one of those people that like quality over quantity, except when it comes to jewelry 😂 I guess having a jeweler as a very close friend help lots 😁

I agree with everything you said in this video! Once you hit your 30's, for me it's 35, you really start to come into a "new self." I'm currently in the process of going through a change. I have some good basics, but now I want to incorporate more femininity with dresses, skirts, heels, and nice flats. My life is about to level up, so I need to start dressing for it.
Simple, classic styles will always be in! I've noticed there's a change in life every ten years, in many ways. Some good, some not so good but is the process in life! I can't say I have a favorite, times change, but there is something quite special about your adorable baby pictures ... and you still are! 😉

Great video. I love your jeans, t shirt jacket look with a nice bag. You have definitely helped me with my style. I'm 45 and like classic looks, so you can your style appeals to my clothes budget and look I want to portray. But I don't wear dresses much. Yesterday with the sun coming out and watching to, Charlotte Hawkins was on breakfast itv and looked stunning in her one colour shift dress. She went to my school and was a few years younger than me but gave me some inspiration. Whilst looking round marks and Spencer's later that day I Found a fabulous pink crepe cap sleeved body con dress, but it was a lined shift dress. It was totally gorgeous. Very Roland Mouret Galaxy style type dress. There are a few other companies that make similar dresses.....the pretty dress company, Diva etc....and I have just bought myself a vintage Lady Dior bag, which that style of dress would look fab with.
Interesting evolution, feel quite old watching your time stamps on your evolution 😱. But you’re on the right path IMHO, the classic pieces will stay on and you definitely epitomise effortless chic and we’re not complaining 😍😍👍🏾.

I think so much has to do with getting older and just worrying less about others think and just being comfortable liking what you like. At least thats how I feel. And budget. I've actually gone in reverse, I've gone from a well paid, full time job where I could afford designer pieces and high end skincare and make up to being a full time carer for my terminally ill mum. I ended up having to sell most of my designer pieces and go back to looking at the high street more.I really cant afford much of anything these days, and Ive put myself on the back burner these last 2 1/2 years,but the high street has evolved so much since I was a teenager. Im 35 now and spent most of my teens dressed like a member of All Saints x Courtney Love!

LOVED this vid! I've only been watching and following since late 2017, so it was brilliant to see how your style has evolved into what it has become today. I completely and utterly agree with your style theory around turning 30. I'm hitting the big 30 in June and I really feel that my style is becoming more sophisticated and classic as I hit this milestone. I too was always a person who loved to experiment with trends and used Primark (or Penny's as it's known in Ireland) to feed my desire to be "in fashion". But in the last year or so, I've dramatically reduced the amount I buy in there and have turned to more "grown-up", quality brands like Zara. I even splash out every now and then on designer accessories. Thanks for all the inspo and keep doing what you do! Loving your work! x

It's crazy seeing you with such dark hair! The outfit with the ripped denim jeans and white shirt under the pink jumper is very similar to my current style so I'd say that one is a favorite of mine. I have to wear boots or sneakers though since I can't walk in stiletto heels and all my jumpers are either shades of blue, green, off white ivory/oatmeal or grey since I have a fairly set color palette in my wardrobe. This was such a cool video and you were an adorable child!!

I had never pictured you with dark brown hair!!! Wow your style has changed so much over the years. I’m going through a style overhaul right now at 27 similar to what you described, no more forever 21 and focusing on quality pieces.

What a fun video, I didn't know you back then so it's all new to me!!! I actually quite liked the pin stripe shirt and long denim skirt with nude accessories ! ( 8:40 ) it already looked quite classicly chic and underated 😊
LOVED this vid! I've only been watching and following since late 2017, so it was brilliant to see how your style has evolved into what it has become today. I completely and utterly agree with your style theory around turning 30. I'm hitting the big 30 in June and I really feel that my style is becoming more sophisticated and classic as I hit this milestone. I too was always a person who loved to experiment with trends and used Primark (or Penny's as it's known in Ireland) to feed my desire to be "in fashion". But in the last year or so, I've dramatically reduced the amount I buy in there and have turned to more "grown-up", quality brands like Zara. I even splash out every now and then on designer accessories.

It's crazy seeing you with such dark hair! The outfit with the ripped denim jeans and white shirt under the pink jumper is very similar to my current style so I'd say that one is a favorite of mine. I have to wear boots or sneakers though since I can't walk in stiletto heels and all my jumpers are either shades of blue, green, off white ivory/oatmeal or grey since I have a fairly set color palette in my wardrobe. This was such a cool video and you were an adorable child!!

You were soooooo cute and still is, I am 49 and remember some of the crazy things I wore especially to college in the 80tees, might I add that you were still a baby back then.
