Brahmaputra river basin is one of the most dynamic and volatile river basin. The NE Bengal, Northern Bangladesh and western Assam which fall under Teesta -Bramhaputra interbasin area are not only influenced by tectonic activities but also receives huge sediment. These two phenomenon is responsible for flood and channel shifting of these rivers. At13.11 and 14.00 I can see the layers on the banks of Brahmaputra which resembles the different flood events. Just before 1787 Teesta used to contribute water to Ganga and was it's tributary now Teesta drains it's water to Brahmaputra. You can easily imagine how volatile it is. Brahmaputra always amazes me and very often I visit this area in Google Earth and wonder how huge it will be. I'm very pleased to see the wide bed of Brahmaputra and it's banks.

Brahmaputra is the mightiest river in South Asia, one of the largest in Asia after the Yangtze with the 3rd largest discharge among all rivers in entire Asia. As an Assamese, I know very well how powerful this river is. We treat it as a demigod. Come to upper Assam in the monsoon and it's 10+ kilometers wide, so wide that you can't see one bank from the other. The river is so large that it has an island district inside it

Nice to see such a humble and lovely Indian Hindu brother visiting Bangladesh & treating its people like his own. Sadly we have received lot of hate & animosity from India in recent times.

@@jyotirmayanag9831 well i can say same about hindu radicals in India commiting same atrocities against Muslims bulldozing their homes etc. But like you said their radicals and there's good people who come from both communities. However, Bangladesh government have always condemned the actions of these minority individuals and have increased security to protect hindu homes. Kudos to this Nomad, really unique video. I have wondered how Brahmaputra will look like in Bangladesh, but never imagined an Indian youtuber would do such adventure.
Now I can imagine how some of our long-distant acquaintances travel to the south bank, collquially called as 'Dakhinpar' in South Salmara - Mankachar district (previously part of Dhubri district) of Assam. They say that it takes about 2 hours in the boat/ferry. I always thought, would it be adventurous, boring, scary or a mix of everything! And now I can imagine how the journeys would be as it is almost nearby the Bangladesh border in Assam. But thinking about the poor people, I really feel sad, how difficult and challenging it is for them to move from one place to another. Ferry accidents really scare me. The recent accident at Nimatighat in Jorhat district was an eye opener. Anyway, a great milestone is going to be achived by India after the Dhubri-Phulbari Bridge will get complete, as this will surpass the Dhola-Sadiya Bridge (also in Assam) to become India's longest bridge connecting the two states of Assam and Meghalaya spanning over the mighty Brahmaputra with a length of more than 19 kilometres. Infrastructural development is a very crucial way for the development of a region in general, and the country as a whole.
The sunset at the end of the video made me a bit nostalgic. I hail from a small village of Jamalpur which is surrounded by a number of river channels and we used to go to our ancestral village every year during monsoon. At that period the villages literally looks like remote island floating on the water. Whichever direction you look, you will see only water. Jamuna and Brahmaputra looks real scary when the waves falling on the river banks with all its mights. We used to go fishing on a small boat and arrange our own little picnic with whatever we had been able to catch. Those childhood memories during monsoon period in the village are the sweetest. I hope you enjoyed your stay at my hometown. I am pretty sure not many foreigners ever tried to explore the rural parts of Bangladesh like you did. In my opinion BD has a huge potential to build river-focused eco tourism. But I highly doubt it will ever be possible because of the lack of vision on the highest level.

Coming from a water starved state ( TN) your vlogs of river travels are awesome
Beautiful Bangladesh 🇧🇩, The land of Rivers 💕
Support from Odisha ❤️🇮🇳

Watch Salahuddin Sumon's video, you can get knowledge about different places and their historical values of Bangladesh. I really love your communication skills with the locals and it will be more polished if you tell some history about the places.
