What an amazing women she was!!!! Never met her in person but I remember seeing her the first time whilst in Antarctica in the 80's - watching the film "To the ends of the earth" (about the Transglobe expedition) . We watched it many times during the 14 months on the ice at SANAE III base located near Penguin bukta where one of the Transglobe bases was and which I was privileged to have been inside. We were always in admiration of her bravery,, her kindness and her absolute dedication. She was 100% the REAL deal !
A Resilient woman of steel with a heart of gold and as brave as a Lion, i think!, any other words just fail me.
At last a tribute to a most remarkable woman. An unsung hero if ever there was!
What an extroardinary woman. They were such a match. Truly heroic
