  • When navigating a disorienting landscape, paths are essential. Sheep know this. Shepherds know this. And it’s why David highlights God leading on “paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” But what did David imply by this? What does righteousness even mean? Why is God’s name at stake? And what happens if we stray from the path? All of this and more are discussed in this next episode on Psalm 23.

Thanks for explaining this psalm so well. God bless you.
Jesus, our Good Shepherd hears us when we "bleet" and rescues us even before the enemy devours us. GOOD, GOOD SHEPHERD!

Great teaching!!! I was wondering if you could direct me to where I could find some of the drone footage you used? Is it available to use or be used in a church?

I enjoy your videos so much! Would you consider doing a video on the woman at the well in John 4?

Hi Jamie! Thank you for your kind comment. I will definitely add this to my list of future episodes. I will tell you that I just read the initial proof for a book releasing in December by Doug Greenwold of Preserving Bible Studies (preservingbibletimes.org) and the entire book is on the woman at the well. And it's fantastic! So I'd sign up for his newsletter so you can be notified when it releases.

I am surprised that you did not study Biblical Hebrew while you were in Israel. I see that Jerusalem University does not seem to have a Hebrew Program. None-the-less, I love your teachings. תודה רבה על זמנך להשם ולאנשיו. Miriam

Thank you for your kind comments, Miriam. JUC did have a Hebrew class while I was there, but I took Biblical Hebrew in seminary, and therefore focused my studies on classes I couldn't take in the States. While at JUC, I took multiple classes on historical geography, cultural backgrounds, archaeology, and rabbinics.

@@WalkingTheText Great to hear you took Biblical Hebrew. I also took Biblical Hebrew for 4 years at an on-line institute where I volunteer. I was thinking that you might have taken courses in Biblical Hebrew because you use many Hebrew illustrations and words. You are certainly a well prepared and well rounded minister of the Gospel. שוב תודה לך על כל התורות הנפלאות שלך. Miriam

@@jazminpicadocorrales3840 Hi Jazmin, "he brings me back" is a literal translation from the Hebrew. Kenneth E. Bailey discusses this in his brilliant book "The Good Shepherd" (pg 44). Hey writes, "The literal translation 'he brings me back' makes clear that the sheep is lost and the good shepherd is obliged to after it, find it and carry it back." I hope that helps.
