Yeah. Now we're cooking... I quite like these men's styles. A tad Conservative but that's OK. It is better for a guy to err on the side of conservatism than the opposite side, unless he is definitely the type of guy who can pull off the whacky style eg artists, performers, clowns etc. A man need not dress boring, dull, drab, unoriginal etc. He just needs to know what sort of guy he is eg sporty, boyish, alpha male, playful, a thinker, reserved or loud and fun loving, adventurous or a home body happier mowi g his lawn etc. And then find a style to project the image of himself he wants his target audience eg some girl on a date to have of him. Might be a good idea to sus out what she thinks of certain male types before projecting that image though, in case she's a militant feminist who hates grandfatherly paternalistic men with beards or young ones project the 'I' m in charge here' alpha male image eg executive look, or the heavily tattooed Neanderthal man with big muscles etc. Some like such men, others scream rape at the very sight of them and run away in horror... The main male styles are pretty easily identifiable, like the male types eg pretty boyish men, stro g men, boss men, creative men, sportsman, seaman, countryman etc. There are certain must have items that defines the man and the look eg pretty young boy would never wear a power suit, like alpha male might, sporty would wear tops etc that look like bits of a team uniform eg V neck jumpers with special team colours, nice fresh new sports shoes etc. Often light, plain bright, clean cut lines that move easily, caps etc. Never dark suits, formal collar and tie etc. Mr Arty Farty Bohemian will never wish to appear normal so he would never wear anything any ordinary guy would wear or if he did, it would be in a weird way eg business jacket with blue jeans and loud shirt hanging out, mismatched tie etc. Whilst a creative woman like me might sigh 'Oh dear, he needs guidance, but is otherwise OK Must be into some cause that is bound to clash with mine but... ' another more Conservative woman might respond with disgust 'What IS this?!? I ordered a proper man for a date. Get out. I want a real man! In a real man suit, so I can know he' s a male without undoing his trouser zip. I'm a proper lady, thank you, please. And right now. Properly dressed. I'm not your mother, you know. Didn't she teach you how to dress yourself?!?' it's so easy for a guy to get it so wrong but also easy for him to get it right, with just a few pointers to dressing for success for any personality type, any situation, any body type, any situation, any audience to impress. And there are actually scientific facts and statistics to show that people react in certain negative/positive ways to how a man appears, so it IS something that matters and not just fashion frivolity. Eg a beard makes a man look suspicious, like Ned Kelly, the famous Aussie criminal in our folklore/history. Brown is a colour favoured by criminal types, probably because it is the colour of shit and they can relate to that, after a few run ins with the law, jail spells in solitary etc etc. Best avoided and never worn on stage, if you are the star attraction there, unless it is a very glittery outfit. But why would you want to choose shit brown and cover it with glitter so you shine on stage? To say 'Hey, folks. Here I am. Absolute shit, as you can see from my outfit.... But, I am here to let it shine for you tonight, so let' s kick off this shit show, because I wanna get outta here asap and go home to watch TV in my old flannel floral PJs. The toilets are to your right, in case it gets too bad and remember to only flush acceptable matter down the loo because you might clog the sewer. The exit is opposite. Be thoughtful of others, considerate. Don't block it please. Because I'm the star you paid to see and I want to get out before you all do and go home fast and use my own nice clean disease free toilet. Enjoy the show! Let's make a start on this onerous task.
