Frankly... I'm with the dad on this one. Nobuto deserved to die for ever laying a hand on Reiko and his plans to exploit her.
Agreed
he was gonna kill her.
@@EpicBuntyexactly he said himself after he exploited her that he was gonna get rid of her and from the sounds of it she wasn't the first nor would she be the last. Dad did women a service by killing him and indirectly getting revenge for his past victims and preventing him from doing it to anyone else.
He probably was just going to sell her into slavery. Why would he kill a valuable young woman?
same here a dad that protect his family from a bunch of thugs that can have his way with any girl he come across especially his daughter.the dad did the right thing
His wife a real one
salut, j'étais en retard
For real my man
Rare gem we dont see today much often
A true ride-or-die. W wife.
This right here, I randomly watched this show when I lost power in half my house including ac in june... and I thought his wife was the one he obv chose the best girl
He did what any father would do. The fact the boyfriend was PROUDLY talking about beating his girlfriend and his cronies applauded him for it
I was cheering for the dad the WHOLE first episode. The couple had my vote the ENTIRE. TIME.
Yep me too
until you read the manga and saw the woman and children being massacred, it's not finished yet but the couple have another child, the daughter have become a police officer and know the father killed nabuto. but did not know about the villagers yet. I have a feeling that she will walk the same path of her father and more innocent woman and children will die. she will convince herself that she have no choice but to protect her younger brother
@@tylerleliechristian4109 nevermind checked the description
You mean a coward?
This wife was WAY too down to cover up that crime. Like, she was concerningly logical about this.
Just an above average person with logical thinking and some skills in small mechanical works is so rare in today's world
Well yes the reason she's so dedicated and loyal to Tetsuo has to do with her past which you won't learn until later in the story.
She's a mama bear. She got rid of a piece of trash that was beating her daughter. Hopefully the daughter appreciates it though.
@@abbiereynolds8016honestly from what I read and saw in the anime and manga his death is one less scum in the world.
Well yeah she’s her mom. Good Moms are gonna automatically do what’s best for their child’s sake
i don't care about the dude that lost his son, he raised him wrong, thats the consequence.
Agreed
Love is bailing your partner out of jail.
True love is helping them hide the bodies so they won’t go to jail.
There is no sin in protecting ones beloved family. Death is justified if needed.
I don’t know I really can’t blame that father for killing that guy’s son to protect his daughter. But I can definitely blame that guy for trying to seek vengeance for his delinquent murderous son.
Plus the asshole was planning to get rid of her most likely of the killing Verity so he technically not only prevented his daughter from being another victim but indirectly got justice for all the other women he hurt.
Peace is inevitable, ingorant + entitiled + abusive = Death cuz, they never learn!
Debatable
Good dad
i remember when the wife said where we hiding this body yo, and I was like. Man married the right woman.
Ride or die for real. She did not hesitate 😂
If she wanna be your partner in life and in crimen, she is the one
mans hit the jackpot for real.
When you get married, it’s “for better or worse”. She knew why he did it. If we had children, I’d help my husband if this happened too.
Dad was surprisingly good at defeating the gang. Kasen was awesome. Interestingly, the series only adapts the first part. There’s more, and it goes into aspects of the family’s past that wasn’t discussed in the anime.
A father killing an abusive bf? As he fkn should
If I become a dad and my daughter goes through abuse like this I wouldn’t let that slide
The sad part about situations like this is your daughter would probably testify against you for taking her love away.

I feel bad for the dude for losing his son, but his son was a scumbag.
Not really, dude is equally guilty and a scumbag. I guess the apple doesnt fall far from the tree.
Na dude was helping his son cover up what he did to those women. He's just as bad in my eyes.
He wondered where he went wrong, well two things.
One: he enabled his son by covering up his crimes and allowing him to develop into a scumbag
Two: he continued to live life as though he had done nothing wrong and never considered the seriousness of his actions. If he was willing to kill for his son, who is to say that another man won't do the same for his family.
@@gamero31o It was only matter of time before he messed with the wrong person and MC was that person. And clearly his son had no intention of stopping after dads daughter. So if Mc didn’t do it eventually someone else would have maybe one of his past victims family or a friend of the woman.
Or the woman herself@@senatorarmstrong4662

What a very wholesome and loving family.
That Wife/Mom is a W. But this couple should've phoned John Wick or the Equalizer in right after.
Yes
I want a wife like her.
It sad that her father and mother has to suffer because of her wrong choice.
The abuser is the evil.
The daughter fell in love & only wanted love.
Nobody deserves to be taken advantage of & abused. It’s not a choice 😔
Abuse starts slowly, with all little tiny things - by the time you face extreme abuse, your already under the abusers control.
When you’re abused, the abuser systematically undermines your own self-esteem and self-efficacy; the victim tends to feel dependent on the abuser, and unable to function on their own. Add trauma bonding to the mix, and it becomes extraordinarily difficult for the victim to leave.
Abusive relationships are incredibly difficult & dangerous to leave, especially for women who know they can be easily harmed / killed for trying to escape.
It’s really not as simple as just walking away.
The manipulation, control & cycle of abuse literally rewrites the way the victims brain works.
You don’t think the same, your brain literally doesn’t work the same, it’s reward system is all fucked up. It can take years to recover from this.
^ this is why victims of abuse are more likely to be abused again.
You can also develop ‘beaten women syndrome’
@@spareaccount1969love psycho-analyzing but….look at the boyfriend. Dude just screams “ Hey I’m in with shady ppl”

@ASimone24 Why are you blaming the victim character but not the abuser? The abuser chose to abuse, right? He didn't care.
@@Ipetam You’re right, however, I blame both parties. You didn’t see her try to get away from the situation until her parents got involved right? Otherwise, she wasn’t going to leave him

This is such a great anime. I wish it gets its deserved recognition and, hopefully, a season 2 as well
Yes, i want to see both More Reika and aftermaths of The story.
I'm only 1:54 reading this comment. Like ... even after 1 season this isn't resolved?!?!!! Lol !!! I don't know how to feel about this. It's that good a story that it gets 2 seasons, but it's that horrible of human beings as villains that it's not resolved in 1 season?

This and Taken are fictional example of a father who with all effort tries to protect their child and prevail in it. There are many moments like this happens in real life around us but just like the stories, whether they die trying or give up to the overwhelming odds or succeed, we commoners will never know the truth
the two parents are GOAT's!
Seen it when it was airing and i have 6 words for everyone: the wife is the best character
Holy crap this is seriously an amazing story
Bravo to the parents for being incredibly smart and supportive of each other throughout this whole thing
Their daughter is incredibly lucky to have parents like them.
Not gonna lie, this gave me alot of Death Note vibes especially the back and forth.

@dantenadir2850 yhe story clearly shows that he beat ger and she stayed saying "I still love him" and after he went "missing" she kept looming for him, so I'm sorry but yes, in this came we should shame the victim too, especially since they weren't together long enough for hin to somehow condition her mentally, she was just pathetic and in the manga the reason she still loved him is literally "because he was my first boyfriend" so, no sympathy here
Aaaahhh I had to skip to the end to make sure it has a wholesome and comfortable ending. I dont want to step on a anti-tank mine and cry a whole month.... again....

What sin is there for him, when he had relived the world of scumbags. Unfortunately common man cannot do anything against an organisation.
I do wonder, would that reason work in real life, to police. "Open the door sir, we need to search your apartment!" "Hey ho, ho. My daughters hamster on the loose, i cant open right now!" "Ah, okay, have good night sir, hope you catch that 🐹 hamster, 😂😂, got me good. I sometimes cant believe the law in these.
Well tbf, the police need warrants to search without consent or without justifiable cause (idk if justifiable cause applies in Japan tho) so it could be possible
@@KleinesStein okay. So it "could Be possible" Alright. But isn't being a murder suspect good reason?
@@Mrhade5 not sure if the police even know the first guy is dead. Remember, this entire thing with the investigation is just the Yakuza (Japanese organised crime) so the coppers probably don’t know there was a murder in the first place.
Again, we take this story with lots of salt since it’s an anime, but theoretically it is possible that they would not enter without said warrant as they are completely clueless and have no probable cause (if that’s even a thing in Japan)
@@KleinesStein you Make a good point. But, Even so, did they Not know of The second kill either? And it's just that The "hamster" it makes it sound like it's a Big deal, think itll go through everywhere Else, But im kind of glad that they didn't search, Bc he is a father.

Kudos to the wife! She's a true ride and die chick! But that daughter just pathetic staying with someone that beats her up 😩
SaD thing is these people exist! Whenever I'm playing games in the dining table I always heard mom from her friends about a girl getting beat up by his husband and then ask her myself straight up!
Apparently you fools never heard of a little thing called "Stockholm syndrome".
He probably threatened her
It's a mental issue. Getting abused isn't always as cut and dry as it seems. The abuse could start small, subtle, mental. Then after a while the beatings start, but because the progression to that point was "natural" the victim can have a hard time comprehending that they are infact being abused. Or they could be scared to leave. Or a number of factors. Sure it would be amazing if they could just leave. But it isn't that easy. Not everyone is as mental capable as you. Infact majority of abuse cases where the partner doesn't even recognize they are being abused is a female abuser and male victim. Men getting beat by women never gets talked about in media and is literally hushed out of conversations in places like Australia. So how are men suppose to even know what abuse looks like besides the obvious. Men from a very young age are taught to never hit a woman. But... is the same thing taught to young girls? Or is it just taught, don't ever let someone hit you?
Idk. Just some food for thought. Domestic abuse is a rough subject and until everyone becomes more open about it, it won't be easy to stop it

What would Baki do?
What would Guts do?
It’s pretty obvious what they’d do though for fun I’d bring *Razor* *Blades* and *Lemon* *Juice*

Ultimately the ones who paid the price and had to clean up the mess of their kids were the parents with one dying at the end and the other two having to go through all the shit just to protect their daughter. I know that people are going to hate the dad of the delinquent kid but considering that this is Japan and there is lots of ridicule and stigma that affects not just the one being punished but the family and friends around them, the delinquent and his family would be ousted by society and so they would have no place to turn to but the Yakuza, which extended to them a hand and took them in, so I feel a bit sorry for him just a bit though. Well that and he genuinely cared for his son even though his son didn't care back, he still choose to not abandon him and sink together with him in the mud and dirty himself by becoming entangled in the underworld.
