Would this outboard survive brief immersion in sea water?

Definitely, the creek used in the video is salt water

@@XcapeMarineOfficialChannel Sorry I wasn't clear, I meant if the dinghy I would use it on flipped over causing the top of the outboard to be submerged, would there be water ingress damage?

Oh I see.. yes you’d be covered as the electronics in the top half are rated at IP7 water resistance.

Just one aspect I see not being developed yet is, a 2 Battery system. While using one side for power having the other side being charged by regeneration while underway. Flip a switch and your doing the opposite. Regen can happen in many different ways. Even if anchored while fishing in a current and or solar...everything counts with electric. I like the fact that I do not have to smell fuel if and when a splash or spill occurs. That there us no exhaust being muffled in to the water and doing the pollution thing. No engine noise. Only one other thing would be really great is not having the fish commissions hassling me every single time I get on the water!!!!!!

I'd like to know how to purchase the product. Alibaba? Amazon? Can I buy it wholesale only?

I would like to ask you if this motor has given you any kind of problem - I ask this, as I have read comments that the motor loses efficiency/strength after a few uses.
    thank you very much.
I am interested in buying one.

What is the recharge time from flat? Can you recharge from solar/12v plug in? Thx.

4-6 hours from dead flat, and no the charger will need 240v from mains or mains inverter.

You can buy solar chargers designed to charge lithium batteries. I bought one myself but haven’t yet gotten around to using it yet.
