I follow almost 150 you tubers. Your channel has very quickly risen to my top 5 channel list. Keep up the good work. I really like the “down to earth” way that you are. Thanks for your hard work bringing us the viewers top quality videos.
Loved this video. I'm from the Delta Country of NE Louisiana, but have always wished I had lived below Hwy 90 for a few years. That's a culture everyone would surely enjoy, especially if they like the outdoors and especially the food and customs of south Louisiana. Thanks for focusing on the food and festivals of the lower La. culture!
That was very entertaining and extremely well done at your end. And the cooks!!! Wow. Roadkill Cookoff Ducks Unlimited will be on my schedule next time up!! Can’t wait. Going to search for date now. Keep up the great work and good luck!
Hey as a Florida Native I must say Louisiana is the total package with the food and fishing. Have a blast every time I visit, love Louisiana my home away from home.
Another unique experience this Ohio boy is grateful to have been introduced to. Dang I wish I had been there to taste/try all those good eats! Thank you! 😮
Hey Jared I found your channel when you had less the 1K. Its awesome to see your channel growing and you partnering with DU. I was part of the charbroiled oyster team glad you liked them. Keep up the great work on showing our great state the sportsman's paradise hope to see you at more DU events!!
Jarad, still catchin’ up, how did you eat all that? That oyster stew, grilled oyster and all the shrimp dishes were fabulous. Being from coastal AL those uniquely LA dishes never made it to my family in Mobile, but would like to try the smoked gator and boudain, not so much the andouille (sp)! Surprised no one had seafood gumbo (shrimp, oysters and crab, no sausage please)😂 Your boy is a trooper! It will be a few years before he realizes how lucky he was growing up “outside the levees”! Nice video.👍
@@OutsidetheLevees my brother lives down in Slidell we are in Shreveport that’s why we were coming down south my wife wants to go to the casino I want to go crabbing and fishing lol
New subscriber and I'm from Dah Boot. Cool vids you make.. But I gotta ask where did you get that burner from that use was using on your harbor freight grinder vid? Thanks T
Abbeville? One of my sisters lives in Abbeville. ...i see Uncle Al being roasted...Fried Oreo, for a moment i though it's Fried Oriole. Suppose to be wild, right?...Great stuff, Jared.
I’m sorry in advance, but my sister lives in the New Orleans area. When and where does this take place? Would love to visit during this time to try all the food. Will it be there in 2023? Thank y’all
My family and i was raised in DuLarge Louisiana-we were “down the bayou people)-the Falgout Canal bridge was the boundary from being up or down the bayou-we never ate alligators -our Houmas Indian friends did-apparently my mother and grandmother did not want to fool with an alligator-we hunted alligators for money -around $7 per foot in the late 50s and 60s-now i hunt them for food-kids and grandchildren love it fried -i prefer alligator creole-the trick is to get out as much of the fat before cooking-also the smaller ones 6 or 7 footers are tender and have almost no fat
Is this on the same time every year? I'm looking to do a Florida/Louisiana holiday next year and this would be great to add to the itinerary. Thanks mate
