Liplje Monastery ⛪, Teslić , Bosnia and Herzegovina

Liplje is an Orthodox Christian monastery located in the village of Gornje Liplje between Kotor Varoš and Teslić, in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It belongs to the Banja Luka Eparchy of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
According to folk tradition, the monastery is an endowment of Saint Sava. This was the main reason why the stone placed on the western portal during the renovation carried out in 1867-1879. stated that the monastery was founded in 1219. The settlement of Liplje is mentioned in 1273, but the monastery is not explicitly mentioned until the end of the 15th century in the Kruševo monument.
However, the old bronze monastery seal with the year 1330 engraved on it has been preserved, denying that there was no monastery there. The seal, however, belonged to the Osovica monastery, whose temple glory was "Annunciation". Today it is clear, according to the claim of Justin Ćelijski, that the monastery was an endowment of King Dragutin from the end of the thirteenth (13th) century, although it was probably also built on the foundations of an older church. In historical records, it is mentioned under two names: Liplje and Osovica, and very often in the same sources under both names. In 1883, it is said that there are actually two Liplje, both with temple ruins..There really were two monasteries (which probably celebrated different festivals) or with some other position, because there is written evidence. In a letter from 1612, the superior hieromonk "Kir Hristifor" from Osovi and the elder "Kir Gerasim" from Lipljan are mentioned. That monastery was dedicated to St. Nicholas, and the then Metropolitan of Dabro-Bosnia was Theodore.
The monastery was originally dedicated to St. Nicholas, but after the restoration in the 19th century, it was dedicated to the Blogovijesti of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is one of the larger and taller medieval ritual buildings (about 20 m).
