This is actually really helpful for those who are interested in advanced combat. I knew all of these already but it’s a really well made video. Good job Sir Lizalfos and if there’s more videos like this from you I will most likely watch them because we all know that I like advanced combat. I also watch all of your other videos because they’re good but yk 😐
Some people call TOTK/BOTW Combat basic, but in reality its only as basic as you want it to be. I was thrilled back when I finally managed to get SBR down and naturally i pair it into bomb jumps then transition into the Bullet time dives for added style and managed to blow my friends mind because they thought all you could do was press B to attack and that was the depth of their understanding of the games combat. Its not even impressive compared to people who actually go insane with the things you can do but its enough to impress simpler players.
I never really thought about insane pros of combat in ToTK. But there’s always a pro😂 I need to try some of this stuff! I never even thought to try it either
Good work. Why I rate BOTW advanced combat more is that many of the TOTK advanced combat tricks are things you can achieve much easier (but with less style) by doing simple stuff like rocket shield or bomb/spring shield surf. Or wing shield for easy bullet time. In BOTW the advanced combat were things you can’t achieve by any other means.
Thank you, and I definitely agree! Though I will say, I have spent over 12 hours on some TotK Combat Clips, and they are pretty hard depending on what you know, how creative you are, and what extremes you are willing to take even with simple, or non-simple moves. But BotW is so much better, like you said; more style, much harder, and way cooler, and their are way more things youc an achieve in BotW, than TotK. I quickly got decent at TotK Combat, but BotW took me a year just to get some average clips and learn the more difficult combat system. Yet, if you haven't tried both, it actually helps by playing TotK Combat, to get better at BotW Combat. Since TotK is more creative and has some distinct moves unrelated to BotW's, it seeps into BotW Combat. Sorry for making you read all this😅, and Thanks for watching!
@@SirLizalfos no problem. Now I’m seeing afterimages of your white text on black background. Lol In BOTW we even had some trick shot geniuses that’ll snipe a guardian in Hyrule castle from the Great Plateau. They’d take a guardian to the sky and strike it with lightning. They’d divert the thunder strike from themselves to the enemy. Multiple circling boomerang tornadoes. BOTW combat was good times.
@@Lamz.Z1 I miss the BotW Community and times... It was just so new and exciting. And I believe the combat experts you speak of are Breneko, Peco, and Korokii? I know how to divert the thunder strikes onto an enemy, and the boomerangs, using crynosis launch a guardian into the sky, some are pretty hard. Now, you've inspired me to get another BotW Combat Clip lol.

I've wanted to do the Bomb Parry since I first saw it, but I quickly gave up after repeatedly bombing my face off. I don't really understand any function for the Spring Launch over a simple rocket shield, but I'm gonna try it! Thanks for the help and thanks for the video!!!

But thank you for the suggestion, I appreciate the feedback and hope this is still helpful!
Okay! Any questions? I can try to answer better or explain more clearly in the comments. Is there are certain part of the BDASBR you struggle to execute? I will admit that it's hard to keep consistent.
@@dHt31811 That happens a lot if the shield doesn't come out right. It's a little confusing for sure. Usually at the beginning of the sword animation when hitting, immediately go into menu, then drop a bomb, and before the sword hits it, with your shield forward hop into it. Your shield has to be out to work, and it helps if your sword is at the beginning of it's swing when you go into your menu. If you hold down Y for a barely s second, the sword's swing will be slightly slower, allowing you also to get into your menu faster, drop a bomb and hold down Zl as you leave the menu, forward hopping into the bomb's explosion.
Looks like a Tuff video now time to watch
Imma be studying this video for a while. Better take some notes, I’m actually going to be learning a whole lot! Thanks!
Glad this will be helpful!
This is so cool. I always wondered how these tricks worked.
