I’m blown away by Stefan’s vocals and musicianship. Phil Collins has an unmistakable voice that compliments his music and tough to imitate. However, Mr. Hauk, you far exceeded with this rendition and I can’t wait to hear more from you. These musicians + Darren have so much talent it’s uncontainable!

Love reading the positive comments on Stefan's vocals. I've known this talented young man since he was a child and his guitar prowess has always been evident. His vocals weren't his strong suit when he was younger but he's worked hard on them and he's now showing the fruits of his labour. Coupled with the right songs, like this one, and he's knocking them out of the park.

Perfect song for Stafan's voice. He nailed it. And I loved the high harmony on the chorus. That really made the song for me. And that Crafty guy adds a wicked rhythm guitar to the song. What he does is very creative and compelling to watch

Stefan's ability to flawlessly shine is unquestionably evident in this cut which goes down as another of SingIt Live's greatest hits. None of us will lose your number....SingIt Live is #1 as far as I'm concerned. Undoubtedly many of us who audition this group weekly will agree, these are a group of talented individuals enjoying and taking pride in every performance.
Is there anything Stefan can't do - guitar, bass, drums, and now singing? What a great showcase for him! Crafty's playing and backup vocals were a perfect complement, too!
Once again I have to send huge props to Darren for the production and the mix. It never fails to amaze me how full and broad these songs sound, with depth that's unparalleled. Another channel recently put out a cover and the guitars sounded terrible - bad tone and poor mixing. To come here and not only enjoy Stefan's and Crafty's tone and playing, but to get the Darren treatment on top of that is like a complete aural cleanse lol

Nice use of the delat on lead vocal. The snare was gated well to cut the decay. It was a homage to the original.

Stefan continues to amaze me! This is a stadium quality performance. It's a nice touch for Darren to put the young bucks out front and let them let it rip. Crafty is just fun to watch besides listening to his vocal and guitar prowess. Every week you guys and gals make a hit performance. Stefan has a huge future in front of him. No end to his talent. That lead solo was incredible!

OMG! Stefan and Darren! I was just watching "Everybody wants to rule the world" for the billionth time and then Saw "the old cover band which i won't name" new song which was your cover of white snake... was really disappointed with the arrangement they screwed up the key and Danny was just trying to sound too much like the actual singer ... rather flatlined. I am so glad you two stayed together or at least joined forces.... Stefan you melt my heart with your solos but blew me away with your voice... thats why i have always found you attractive... talent, talent, talent... WTG guys.

So, listening to this cover triggers some thoughts in my mind. Covering Phil Collins is not as easy as it may seem. Getting the right gate on the snare drum is almost a science unto itself. But then there is so much more. The harmonies vocally are spot on, and the gap filling by the second guitar and the keyboards is very cleverly done. And while Stefan's voice is very well suited to cover this song, his guitar work particularly in the sol is actually quite masterful; not from a technical point of view, because the solo isnt that complex as solos go, but what he does with it. Listening to his solo takes me back to when I compared Steely Dan's Kid Charlemagne done originally and comparing it when it was done by the Dukes of September. Larry Carlton's solo is probably the best guitar solo ever recorded, and it is so iconic, so covering it makes it an extreme challenge. John Herington, when playing with the Dukes of September has the huge task of performing solos payed by some amazing guitarists, and in the case of Kid Charlemagne, he has to cover Carlton, no mean feat. But he does it in a way that pays homage to the original solo without copying it note for note and making it his own. You need to listen to the two of them to see what I mean. Stefan does the same thing here. Daryl Stuermer, an outstanding guitarist in his own right plays a wonderfully crafted solo. Stefan could comfortably copy it note for note, but he doesnt. He puts his own touch to it which i think is very smart. None musicians or casual fans of Collins my not notice it, but musicians and ardent fans of Collins will notice the difference. Stefan is a very good guitarist with a very creative ear and technical talent for weeks. Well done everybody and my hat off to Stefan.
Spoken like a man who really knows his music Andre. Yes Stefan has a great natural feel and like that rare breed of guitarist that seems to instinctively know how to make the solo their own, he adds so much to any performance he's involved in. And when it comes to anything tinged with blues, he rips it. Not a bad voice either.
