I think we had better say and use would when something has happened cause it give a good and some sense. But i don under that if i have to repeat the whole words what someone just said to me so i have to be the one and have to say for intance - he said to me (or said me) i will beat you. Why and how is will used in direct and indirect speech? When you hve to repeat the whole scenario what other person said then we use his/her whole words and the. Report then we use will if we are just repeating the whole scenario on his/her words just saying what he said to us then use would. For instance - she said to me - I will kill you. (Look I used i just to refer him/her i repeated her/him whole words what she/he exactly said to me. For instance- she said that she would kill me. (How I just said I what I was said I didn't repeat the whole words I mean I repeated but her whole actual line. Just I manipulate words in my language then I would use would.
