I’ve an Element system in delivery expected soon. Can’t wait for it to arrive! I’ve already disassembled my current belt drive and it’s ready for the transplant. The original Meepo voyager system loves to suck up rocks and break belts on me, I have no idea why they don’t seal it better, thus forced to upgrade am I. The X3 and X1 both look like amazing boards for the price and are high on my list of wants. Yours is the first to mention the dead band situation on the remote so I appreciate that bit of rare honest review, thank you for that. Seems like there’s very few negatives in the overall packages with Acedeck, and most brands for that matter lately with all the competition. Great review!

Great 3 in 1 review bro! I hope Acedeck provides a more cost effective option for standard AT tubed wheels for either gear drive. I bought the Nomad a couple of months back and got a free set of 8" tires/tubes. Didn't realize I had to spend an additional $400 to buy another set of CNC hubs to use them (sad trombone)
I was assuming that the CNC hubs for the 1st gen area x1 would work with the stock gear drives for the 2023 ares x1

Do you by chance remember what type of aftermarket bushings you put into the trucks? I’m assuming they are riptide but is there a specific type I need for the board?

I am eyeballing these mad wheelz v2 for my propel pivot gt. How do they compare to normal 150mm AT wheels?
Do you know if they fit using a 275mm belt? Do they got the free rolling like the 92mm street wheels? I've noticed my AT wheels really eat up range and are killing my free roll entirely.
madwheelz have muchhh better range and free roll than a all terrain. more performance too. 275mm belt on a pivot should be about a 40T pully. whenever u go street wheels, ur main concern for “comfort” is out the window. so dont expect maximum comfort. However madwheelz are wayy more comfortable than a traditional street wheel for sure. veryy good grip too . my original

Check out omni drive they've just dropped a new cruiser 2 gear drive that looks the similar to this. It's compatible with the explorer.

definitely personal preference. as a smaller rider, i dont like how the nomad has such a thick and chunky external battery on the bottom. u feel that under ur feet as well as there W concave. i like the sleekness of the ares a better. thats just my personal preference tho.. use our discount code!
@@esk8unity thanks for the honest reply. it does look a little chunky. apparently there is a new Ares coming out in the next couple of months and as such, there are none available at the moment... so I may just sit on the cash for a couple of months. I have a board atm, so I'm not missing out. its an old ownboard bamboo but Ive looked after it and it still runs well enough. I did wonder about the battery being quite chunky.. thats what i dont like about the n3..

The range drop isn’t surprising, my zealot x dropped by a quarter or so because of it being very cold recently, 40-50 degrees F
Why cant you run street wheels on the stock gear drive?
because most gear drives dont have a street/kegal/abec adapter. but they put on the website availability for this installed on the nomad. I believe there working on the same thing for the ares

I recently got the Nomad gear drive with AT tires ,do u know if those purple adaptors work with my drive setup for adding street wheels or do I have to buy another(hopefully not) drive setup?
nah the gear drive is very different
@@esk8unity Just seen drews vid,he swapped gear drives & they look different,sucks Acedeck didnt think about us with the other gear drive,not worth spending $300 to do this,better off putting $$ towards another board.

Mate if you struggle with the take-off then I have no hope . Am stepping up to last years model with the belt drive because i love to switch up the wheels ,and use the board in different scenarios. Are the 7 inch tubeless worth buying if i have the 8's

Well, that was the most annoying intro ever lol. But this is my board baby. Arrives any day :) Also that dead zone in the remote is absolutely necessary and should be there. Take it out, and you'll have major unsafe issues with that board. Also, I have no interest in street wheels. What I want to find a is a third-party company that makes vacuum tires like the ones that come with the Ares, so I don't have to wait on long shipping times, and so I have more options for AT wheels. I hate pneumatics, and I don't want to limit myself to smooth streets. Know of any wheel that can do it all, but has no risk of flats?
what was annoying about the intro?? the deadband isn’t necessary. at least to some experienced riders. at least for me, i dont need a delay. but like i said, my issue is the middle of the ride while free rolling, its hard to find. THATS a safety issue. once u actually ride it, you will understand. thats cool if u have no interest in street wheels. a lot of us skaters do. we all have our preferences. what do vaccum tires have to do with shipping times?? these boards have a usa warehouse . u hate pneumatics and dont have any interest in street wheels…..? lol u dont need smooth streets for street wheels. street wheels can take anything a pnumatic can do on streets.. using a aireless AT tire will prevent punctures, but the “comfort level” isnt much different than the madwheels
Nothing, I was just being a douche about the music :) The deadband actually IS necessary, with a board of this power, otherwise you would launch yourself off with even a slight relaxation of your thumb. I get what you are saying though, it would be cool to be able to adjust the deadband for more pro riders to make it smaller. Shipping times are long for me. I'm in Japan, so closer to China and you would think it would be fast, but nope. I don't have any interest in street wheels because every street wheel is inferior to AT wheels off-road, and I ride in the Japanese countryside where there are a lot of breaks in pavement that turn to dirt roads. Sure, I could ride over those on huge thane wheels, but it would be a horrible experience. I need an AT tire, not thane wheel, that does not have a tube. The vaccum tires that come with the board are close, but designed for street. To my knowledge and experience, madwheels feel better than smaller wheels but still feel like thane, whereas any rubber or AT tire (and pneumatic) feels 100xs better, especially on bumpy / shitty roads. @@esk8unity
@@KudaBear-gj9br again, I don’t necessarily have an issue with the launch deadband. even tho, no beginners will be riding in the top mode anyway. they will be riden in the first 2 modes., so if ur an advanced rider, as advance riders should be riden this board, they do not need thst deadband. but again, thats not my issue. the issue is mid speed, letting go of throttle, then a delay finding the speed inside ur rolling. you will see when u ride it. as for tires, seems like no matter what the design is , it will be long shipping. yea we have bad/terrible roads here too. every single state and country iv been to has its fair share of good and bad roads. but ya, if u go airless; the “comfort” level will be ABOUT the same as a madwheel. the vacuum tire is as close as it gets for your particular needs. let me know how u like it after riding it a couple days 🤘🏼
Well, I mean, I have multiple boards and know how they ride with different wheels. Was just wondering if you had any suggestions about some wheel I'd never heard about. Definitely excited to try out the new Ares though. I'll let you know if that deadband thing is weird for me too. Thanks!

Road it for a couple days. There is no noticeable dead-band. The remote itself is less sensitive to small adjustments throughout, but that's because it's not a very nice remote. Deadbands are usually an ESC setting, and the ESC is flawless. No issues. @@esk8unity

i spoke to acedeck about the huge dead zone and the jerky reacceleration while on a free roll. They reprogrammed a new 90a esc and sent it to me. Now my problem is fixed. My launches and acceleration from 15mph to top speed is butter. They said that they have fix this issue on all the 90a esc.
