För tv-tittarna blev Klara först känd genom SVT:s serie Familjen Hammarström, där tittarna fick följa en hästfamilj där Klara är ett av elva syskon. Efter att tidigare ha fokuserat på sin karriär som elitryttare bytte hon inriktning till musiken. Hennes singel ”You Should Know Me Better” toppade den svenska radiolistan, och strax efter debuterade hon i Melodifestivalen 2020 med bidraget "Nobody", som slutade på femte plats i deltävlingen.
Hon var tillbaka i tävlingen 2021 med ”Beat of Broken Hearts” som tog sig till final via Andra chansen, där hon slog ut Efraim Leo med poängsiffrorna 8-0 från tittargrupperna. I finalen nådde hon en sjätteplats, och låten har spelats flitigt på radio sedan dess.
Med låten “Run to the Hills” gör Klara Hammarström ett hattrick i Melodifestivalen med tre bidrag på tre år. Tillsammans med Alvaro Estrella kvalificerade hon sig inför 2021 som den första artist sedan Andreas Johnson år 2008 som får tävla i Melodifestivalen tre år i rad. Hon är den första renodlade soloartisten som står för den bedriften sedan Shirley Clamp år 2005.

This song deserves to win melfest and eurovision. The staging for me is like 50% there. I love half of it, but I think they can clean it up and add some stuff and then it will really be unbeatable
Win Eurovision? Why does some people always hype Sweden. She is heavily depended on her backing vocals and the rest she is screaming. The song itself sounds like every other dance track…nothing special.

I really didn't like many songs in this year Melfest, and I didn't feel anyone was my winner until the very last song.. this. It just makes me so happy, and it stuck with me immediately. I want this to win, it's been too long Sweden sent a powerful pop song from a woman.

This song is so good, I especially love that part in the chorus when she sings 'i'm running I'm running I run... to the hills'. A very good Swedish style modern pop song indeed
Okay, so the thing is, this song has a very catchy chorus. BUT, if you listen to Thunder by Gabry Ponte, which was released before "Run to the Hills" you'll notice the BIG similarity in BOTH song's chorus. In addition, one of the artists that made "Thunder" is LUM!X, the austrian representative along with Pia Maria in this year's Eurovision Song Contest. Now, imagine the hypothetical situation: Klara gets chosen to represent Sweden with "Run to the Hills" and LUM!X notices the possible plagiarism once the big event starts. What would it happen??🤭🤣

I came here because someone said somewhere that Alessandra copied Klara. Its a veery generic song, but Alessandra added so many cool elements to it. So, cope harder. :p This is honestly just a very underwhelming song with a catchy chorus. Theres nothing else going on here.

A 3/4 drum beat is apparently so rare that whenever someone hears it, they immediately think it's a copy of the previous one that used it.

Why don't you go and re-listen to Keiino' "Spirit In The Sky" whilst you're at it, and you might just find quite a few similarities between that song and "Run To The Hills." "Running with demons" and God knows what..There are if anything, more similarities between those two songs apart from the joiking, then there are between Alessandra's Queen of Kings and this song. Just to point that out! Did Klara then copy Keiino, who came before her? Or could it be the fact that two neighbouring nations who also share very similar traditions and history (vikings etc), when they choose to make music that is to a certain degree inspired by their ancestral heritage is likely to come across as being somehow similar? That being said, I dare say that "Run To The Hills" and "Queen of Kings" are not very similar at all, at the end of the day, and I also dare say that Alessandra's "Queen of Kings" is way more powerful, dark, intense and rocklike. Whereas Klara's "Run To The Hills" is way more candy coloured, cute pink and poplike. And other than both of them having the elements of traditional nordic folk music and viking heritage, they're actually not particularly alike at all. But, our two countries share these traditions, so what the heck do you expect? If we decide to create something containing this, there are bound to be some similarities because we kind of spring forth from the same roots. That doesn't mean it's the same or have been copied, but perhaps you people are unable to hear the differences!?! This year in the Swedish National Finals one of the contenders sing/joik in Sami. You know, like Keiino.. Because there are Sami people in/from Sweden as well, just like there's also Russian and Finnish Sami people (and yes, I'm pretty sure they have joiking as part of their tradition as well). Would they automatically risk being compared to Keiino just because of that, if they were to send someone to the International Final who happened to have included joik into their song??? Get Real!!! They may have common cultural denominators because we're similar in our culture and history, but that doesn't mean it's the same and therefore a copy, because that's not the case at all here. So please try to listen with discernment!!!

Everyones overhyping Anders. His song is good but along this being a banger, the staging is amazing as well as the choreography and Klaras stage presence. THE BEST vocal in Happy Hardcore style since 1994 when this music genre was created. Song itself is very catchy, energetic and with positive vibes. Either Cornelia or Klara should represent Sweden at ESC 2022. It is not important, that DJ LUM!X, Gabry Ponte, Klaas and many other German and Italian DJs release songs in the same genre.
