If you are interested in calculating how likely losing streaks are so you can decide on what amount to risk per trade, this is the video I mentioned that goes into more detail on how to do this - th-cam.com/video/Pay6md-shvI/w-d-xo.html
Bro, even after 6 years i still foud you as one of the best contet creator i've seen. You explain with all you have and dont sell those expenise courses to scam people. I am glad God sent me to your channel. I wish you the best!
You presented the emotion of losing a large portion of an account perfectly! That's a terrible feeling, Risk Management is something most traders neglect (including myself) and should be used
This new presentation style turns up the excellence volume on this channel. I learnt more thanks to the injection of humour, even though the value of the info is the same high standard as before.
Hello sir ......what an efforts ...hats off to you ....The you explained this concept,Amazing ...Thank you so much for this kind of knowledge delivery. Huge respect for you.
how many pips to lose 2% (to set loss) and how many points to play with to get 10% profit through four attempts? on an X ammount of money... plz and thank u in advance
Hi! question if I may, what about if a have a very small account and I decide to invest more that 2/3% of my total account, let say half on a single trade and I set my STOP loss at 2/3% of my account? Will it work?
Your broker will stipulate what the maximum position size you can take is based on your account size. Setting stop losses is how all trades set their risk. Not position size, that's just one variable of it.
I have a question. Let's say I enter a trade and the price goes against my prediction. Now for how long can I keep that position open? Let's say I have all the time in the world. Can I keep it open as long as I want so ok that specific order, price come back to my opening poiny and becomes even for me?
It depends if you set a time limit on how long you keep your positions open. Theoretically speaking you could keep them open for as long as you want (if it doesn't wipe your account out). I would never advise that however. Hence why I talk about the risk management approach in this video
Hi Younes, If the indicators you are using are part of a well tested and robust trading strategy that you know gives you an edge in the markets, then they are good - no matter which indicators you are using. If you are simply trading the signals from individual indicators without any other analysis adding confluence to those trades, then i would guess those indicators aren't helping your trading. It doesn't matter if they are popular or not. There are countless ways to use any indicator so the popularity of it shouldn't affect your decision on whether to use it or not. You need to decide if it plays an important role in helping you identify, enter, manage or exit trades. I hope that helps!
@@DisciplinedTraderUK the thing was I used to use a broker called IG where I used their platform and wit hither spread bet platform 1 means £1. so I switched to MT4 and I had the assumption that 1 is also 1£ per point only to know 1 means 1 lot ( I know how stupid of me ) which made me get a huge 27% dip last month. so since then I have installed a risk calculator onto my MT4 which does all my risk calculations for me and max I use on a trade is 2%
@@DisciplinedTraderUK yeh I know just trying to get out of a 27% draw down cos of that mistake is a lil painful but am positive. my back testing strategies work 60% of the time so we will see. thanks a lot for the videos. would really help if I could get a mentor from you as you seem to talk more about process and keep improvement than monetary aspect... been learning this on my own tried to find some mentors and they all want 5-9k in fees :( can't afford that .. but anyway thanks once again much appreciated glad. I came across your content
Try not to focus on recovering the lost money, that will just interfere with your trading going forward. If you have a strategy that you have backtested, just focus on implementing that strategy according to its rules as best you can. Put that loss behind you and mentally start again

hi by going with the crowd and only use the popular indicators is it good or bad for my trades

Are your position sizes too big?

its me. I am Bill.
Noo!
Hope is not a strategy
Very true!
3 SL at -3% in a row is not a -9% total but more of -8.7% tho
If you recalculate your risk each time then no you're right. I don't do that though, I readjust about every 5-10 trades
@@DisciplinedTraderUK oh okay, that’s actually not a bad way of seeing it 🤝
I think so too 👍
