The best part about every version of this I've seen, is that when Dallas starts playing the song, everyone in the room shuts the fuck up and lets magic happen.
One of the most powerful lyrics of all times: Was this what we hoped for?
I wish I was back here sat on the balcony. What an incredible moment I shall never forget
I take nothing away from people and whatever music they decide to listen to. but it is a real shame that most people will never how many truly gifted singer/musicians there are, people like Dallas Green, Antoine Dufour, Andy Mckee, and so on, people who write truly gifted music that you totally become lost in."Perso nel suono" But instead most would rather listen to the music that is pumped into everyday society through the radio, tv, ect. And most of these singers out there today are more or less just an image, a pretty face or nice body who the majority of the time don't even write their own music. im not saying anyone whos music is on the radio dosent have talent, i just hope someday i will hear this kind of music being played to our youth.
28 Likes, 0 Dislikes - I'm glad there is no negative feedback on this, how could anyone ever think this is bad. Was such an amazing gig and i'm so happy he played this, gives me shivers every time i listen!
I was there that night and I cried when he played this, thats how good it sounded at the RAH.
this is music in all its glory...
I love how his performing of this song has evolved over time. He now includes George's parts a bit more "In a hail of sparks/In a tangle of wires/everything went wrong".
How he sings it has changed too.Instead of going up all the time, he brings it down at the end of lines. (or whatever you want to call them)
Love this version.
I too love hearing him sing those lyrics in this version, normally they're omitted and it gives so much more character to the song with them in.
Goosebumps.
oh man, He's so perfect, He's totally my dream weaver...I can't wait until I get to see Him in New Orleans in Oct...I'm just going to cry..cry cry cry...
Perfection right there...
This song will be played at my funeral
Watch out is one of the greatest albums ever made
Absolutely incredible
Best show ever.
Will people ever make music this great ever again?
this is the sound angels make when they cry. When an innocent soul ascends to heaven on a rainy day. This is literally how it sounds when a heart breaks
6 years later he covers Rain When I Die and there’s proof, in the future, he at least makes great songs still.
there are so many amazing musicians. Lewis Capaldi for example is a gem. Also check out Jacob Collier, he is one of the most talented musicians to grace the planet and is extremely young. But Dallas is special as well.
shivers
The best version that I've ever seen!!!!!!This gave me shivers for true!!!His voice is a gift for us, sooooo brilliant!I really hope one day get the chance to see this men live, I guess my heart couldn't stand...♥
this is without a doubt my all time favorit song, it's so freaking beautiful. and after reading "The Euphio Question" this song got even better
it's a novel by Kurt Vonnegut. The lyrics of this song is based on the novel
the songs that i've watched from this night, i wish i was there more than anything in the world.
I only recently got into Alexis and I have to say that this is their best song off their best album. This rendition is an absolute earworm and a half. Beautiful.
PURE TALENT!!
1 year's gone so fast, wowwww. this was such a good night.
Best night ever.
@MetallAhead it's an amazing feeling seeing him live. I was at this very concert with my best friend. Enjoy your self!
I remember the first time hearing this version. I was probably at the bottom of my life. I listened to this song a lot. Somehow I got through with it.
I’ll happily accept Dallas’ solo ❤️. And then follow up with Alexisonfire 🔥. This shit rocks 🇨🇦 Canada fuckin rocks!!
pumped for Dallas this weekend in melbourne!
Great song!
I wish I had the money to see him live.
Love him.
that voice.
Omg! This is amazing! Miss Alexisonfire
I totally feel the same!
Fantastic - Dallas is Music
This is actually a really happy song. I've always felt that - it's always felt like a dreamy song, one where you're so happy the euphoria is a high.
Does this not feel like that? He's played this cover often, amongst other many Alexis songs.
Thank for sharing this
Dallas never ceases to amaze me . Thank god the audience was quiet . I want to see him live
I adore this video. Just thought you should know that..
@ecfc2000 wow, what a first concert. I'm jelly.
great tune, fucking great gig!
what a great cover. his voice actually sounds just like the original guys! :p gave me chills.
" I cant do the elton john".. as he plays some amazing piano rift lol
This is not a human voice!..... so beautifull.... it must be from « heaven » or....
Im cant find the original piano and band song any more useto play when i put it in the juke box now just the band no piano
Wow, he definatly has to do some more covers and make more songs on the piano!
@plakkert YEah i agree, i think he kinda looses the tempo a little bit, the beginning though is incredible.
Ahhh I remember seeing you with alexis on fire In Boise Idaho
the lyrics arnt normal at 3:10 ?
Yes but it is still a cover the song is by a different band it wouldnt be a cover if it was only him in alexisonfire
It's not a cover bro, he was the one singing it in Alexisonfire. That was his band.
Dallas green is by far a talented singer, I would love to see him duet with Ed Sheeren, be good to see what they would coax up 🙂
not even 3,500 views on this bitch yet???? Say whaaaaaaaa?!?!?!?!?!?!
i wish the piano was less wool-ey. dont get me wrong he still sounds amazing but that piano just sounds horrible.
Listening to Dallas is like opening an advent calendar, you always sort of know what you’re going to get, but in the same breath you really have no idea what you’re going to get. The mystery just keeps you coming back.
