It would be nice if Hyundai would absolutely offer the Veloster Turbo Model's that they offer in Australia and they would absolutely start selling the same thing here in Canada

Got this car. I am loving it soo far. What fuel to use? I am only using 91 unleaded here in aus. What is the best fuel i can use for this turbo engine? ???

4 cylinder turbos are the saddest sounding engines in existence for modern day "sports cars".
Anything less than a 6 cylinder turbo is just horrid.. no wonder they have to put artificial sound enhancers in them all.

The sound is silenced by the resonator. The excess sound causes vibrations and that affects the gas mileage is why most cars are fairly quite nowadays. You can switch it to straight pipe if you like it loud, that will probably increase horsepower and you become a cop magnet and void the warranty. 4 cylinder cars can easily beat the V6 from years ago, your old V8 will probably lose to a Honda Fit with only 130 hp in sports mode.

azulrevolver Even the engine sounds like crap lol with or without resonators.
Of course an old engine will get beaten by a new one.. comparing old to new makes no sense.

It all has to do with the EPA regulations. A lot of cars have been discontinued just cuz it just can't pass new emission standards or tried to fake/cheat tests and got fined greatly. In California, I can't even buy a lot of performance parts cuz it's illegal to buy or sell or ship. Well, the trade off is cleaner air so you're less likely to get COPD in the future. Oh well, enjoy it while it lasts because you won't be driving for much longer, we will all be "riding" electric cars that drive themselves in 15-20 years from now.

azulrevolver I'll be keeping my V8 for a long time electric cars are just terribly boring lol
Sucks to live in California if you like cars, no way would I ever live there. Australia is pretty strict but I heard Cali is just over the top.
