- Rishi Sunak could U-turn on his decision to skip a crunch climate summit if he feels sufficient progress has been made planning for his highly-anticipated autumn budget, No 10 has confirmed.
The Prime Minister last week insisted he must focus on the “depressing domestic challenges” rather than go to the Cop27 conference in Egypt, drawing widespread criticism, including from within the Tory ranks.
But following reports this could change, No 10 confirmed on Monday that the position was “under review”.
The PM’s official spokesman said Mr Sunak’s attendance in Sharm El-Sheikh was dependent on preparations for the autumn budget, due on November 17.

"Renewables" costing doesn't take into account, the maintenance, subsidies, lifetime and decommissioning, cost of land to accommodate solar or wind farms, power stations running in standby to take over when wind or sun aren't available, transmissions costs, and interfacing the output from "renewables" to the national grid.
Yeah but at least they're not using child slave labour to mine lithium and cobalt for those "green" batteries.... Oh hang on a second...

The towers are not a problem because they are made of steel an can easy be recycled.
But the wings are made of composit material which cannot be recycled. The huge base block is made of tons of concrete which can be recycled but that's very expensive. So normally they just don't even think of recycling it.
@@oldineamiller9007 I worked for a company that manufactured & supplied vital parts for those blot on a landscape windmills. 144 of these parts to a unit in 4 banks - long casings made up of steel. The parts were aluminium cased electrolytic capacitors which, when either failed electrically or blown(as they do) have to be scrapped & cannot be recycled due to the chemicals used in manf. Go to landfill for industrial waste. Not so green then are they.

It is probably the best, powerfully organised, expert, smoke and mirrors, and manipulative propaganda scam on the worlds public, ever.
So powerfully organised and manipulative it successfully created an impenetrable barrier to any other qualified scientist or organisation around the world, who tried to debate or publish their alternative scientific papers.
They were/are being met with very effective, banning, cancelling, belittling and labelled as deniers. Some being sacked, losing their livelihood, for having a differing scientific standpoint.

A bloke here down the valley was exactly the same, he decided to go off grid, took him over three years to source all the materials, most came from China. He set up wind and solar for electricity and solar for water heating.
He ended up having to build another building to house all the batteries and electronic hardware to control it all.
Last year his place was up for sale, he spend over a 100 grand doing it all up and was forever replacing, fixing and renovating the system to make it work.
The only thing that worked was the solar panels for water and that still had to be supplemented with an immersion heater.
He ended up buying a diesel generator and basically used that for everything in the end.
The wind machine is shredded and broke, the batteries have lost most of there charge, the electronics are fried everything looks a miserable mess and he is financially broke.
The funniest thing is he has done a complete 180 turn and anyone who mentions renewable energy in front of him, doesn't half cop it.
Batteries use un-renewable minerals which have to be mined by huge diesel powered machinery and only is extracted from very few sources and will actually run out hundreds of years before oil and gas, but will devastate huge geographical areas.
The whole scheme is a load of bollocks and will actually cause more pollution and raise the cost of electricity.
That's almost amusing! Well, actually it is.

China has over a thousand coal-fired power stations that it uses to make wind turbines and solar panels that it sells to the Uk. Even Japan has over 90 coalfired power stations. The UK has three.
