You're absolutely right, so Round 2 should consider repopping (more than) a few of the old simple 3 in 1 screwbody kits that many of us remember and would love to build again. Spread the joy around, not everyone's interested (though I was) in vintage Pro Stock and Funny Car models.

For those of you too young to remember, The Raider's Coach was built for the rock group Paul Revere and the Raiders back in the mid sixties . Great to see it back.

Seeing how you guys own MPC it would be nice if you could rerelease some of the Mopars from 1965 to 1975.Right now the market is totally over saturated with Chevrolets.
Many of these kits have been released NUMEROUS times. I would like to see some kits reissued that never have been, in particular the Barris Dodge Thunder Charger from the movie Thunder Alley, the Meyer's Tow'd, and the 1971 Ford Torino Cobra with the NASCAR option. Thank you!
Me too but sadly many of those molds no longer exist. Many of them were retooled for a different model kit rather than build a entirely new one. I hope they release the Dodge Demon as that was a favorite of mine. Not sure how many of those one off molds are still usable.
@@animalyze7120 I'm not sure if any of the three that I mentioned have been reused for anything else but even if they have, if there was enough interest in any particular model, they could be retooled. A perfect example is the 1963 Nova wagon.

What I typically do is, buy 2 (usually 3) of those kits from one of the online dealers (Tower etc). Then when they start showing up at @hobbylobby I will (when discounted) usually pick up (minimum of 4) more kits...love that 40% OFF Sales month. I have amassed several of your wonderful re-oped kits (Autocar dump and Ford snow plow as two examples) that way and will continue. I hope this indicates my appreciation to you guys for producing and our dealer and discount stores for making them quite available. Thanks again!

I know the vintage box art is a staple for branding but I would REALLY like to see some actual pictures of the finished models on the box sides as well.
I am excited to see all these great old kits released again, especially with white wall tires and cool box art. I have to admit that I would love to see the 57 Ford released with the old box art and all the original goodies. I keep thinking that would never happen, and then see other kits come out with things I never would have expected. I would still love to see a 68 variant come off of the 67 Impala, maybe a 68 Biscayne 2 door sedan, and also a 69 version from the 70 Impala kit. I often wonder just how much AMT does listen to our suggestions?
I built that Avanti from the original release back in the mid '60's. Was excited to get it. Really wanted to know how the engine was cooled since I couldn't see the grille. The model revealed the secret.
Would love to see a 74-76 Cougar, 74-76 Ford Elite, 83-85 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. Cars I owned back in the day. This month's selection looks AWESOME! Thank you for sharing.
I really believe the kats at round 2 dislike amt 1/25 scale c1500 454ss, c1500 extended cab, c1500 stepside and c3500 street machine dually pickup and 96 tahoe. It been snubbed for way too long
I feel the same way about their '90s Camaro and Firebird kits, especially the '97 Camaro SS (finding the old ones are >'SPENSIVE< ). But at the same time I also have a sneaky suspicion that R2 might not have the old ERTL molds for those kits.

@@pzivg43 I have been saying for a long time that a 1948 Tucker (with the helicopter motor in the rear) would be cool. Along with a 1955 Oldsmobile, 1959 Pontiac Catalina / Bonneville and a 1976 Pontiac Grand Prix. I don't think any of these have ever been produced.
@@edwardcox2840 we had several Austin A55 cars years ago. It was fun going out and hand crank that little four banger now and then. One of them was made into gasser back in the mid 60s we put back into stock form in the 80s, sold it in 2000. For what they where they are decent little cars for their time, I'd own one again.

I like the ramchargers and avanti but what I'd really like is the amt 66 barracuda hemi hustler and a reworked 1/537 Enterprise with correct decals and none of those egregious deep lines
Once again all great castings. The Monster Trucks are incredible, as are the drag cars, but I'll bet that you MIGHT FIND MAYBE one car, maybe two. At least here anyway. We get one case, and scalpers have connections, also Target's here allow their employees to hide cases from the public so they can go through them in back. By the time us LOWLY collectors get there there's nothing left! Case in point, the 2-toned Buick Regal T-type, you'll NEVER see that in stores. Just on eBay for $25.00-30.00.
Please try to buy all the old Johan tooling or scan it so you can re-release them incl the acetate warping models in decent plastic. They would be great.

Can't wait to get my hands on the Opal,the 49'er, the 57 Belair and especially the Avanti. I would do a custom style on that one, love ur videos and hopefully be buying those kits in the near future. Would love to see an accurate 74 Dodge Monaco sedan. So many options for building it factory stock, derby or Bluesmobile. We need more Mopar C-bodies in all scales.

Really glad to see some studebaker cars and reissues of the old Ford's would still like to see a short bed fleetside 67-72 gmc. Also a long bed 67-72 gmc 4x4 plus a long bed 4x4 64-66 chevy pickup. Also reissue the original 1980 gmc fall guy long bed high sierra 2500
They can't be done my friend (71-75) ... they'd have to be retooled which is very expensive even reverse engineering is. I too would love to have those years as well (police cars, derby cars, factory cars, lowrider cars, etc. ) resin or 3d printing are options. Sorry...
Awesome kit releases! Any chance we may see a re-issue of the Slammer Police Van by MPC? I built one of those with my dad in the early 80s. Dad passed away 10 years ago now but I would love to build that kit up again. I think of dad every time I build an AMT or MPC kit. They were his favorites!
Please work with Hobby Lobby and other retail stores to expand their display space for model kits and diecast. I don't buy on-line, and there are no nearby true hobby stores for many of us (that don't require a 4-hour round-trip @ $5/gallon gas).
I would love to see some 80s / 90s era stuff. Like a 98 WS6 Transam , a 94-98 cobra , and a late 90s Camaro. GTA Transam, IROC and like an 82 mustang GT.
Round 2's recent resurrection of the Chevy II station wagon kit proves the capacity to recreate certain lost tooling to make the kit complete. It begs the question: why not recreate vintage JoHan kits by computer scanning a mint, complete existing kit then using the digital data to cut new molds? I regularly- and happily - pay as much as $500 for certain JoHan kits like the Haulin Hearse. There has got to be a solid market for "digitally cloned" JoHan kits based on surviving vintage kits. I know Jonnie Lightning has already released a 1/64 die cast version of the JoHan Haulin Hearse- with a miniature box no less - so the licensing has likely already been arranged. I am certain thousands of adult modelers would gladly pay $100 for revived JoHan kits. I know Okey Spaulding is linked with the remains of JoHan, but where there's a will, there's gonna be a way.
Just heard that round 2 is trying to buy eaglemoss, if you do will they be continuing the buildups to those that have been subscribed, like myself who is just over 2/3’s into the Ecto 1 build
Awesome to see Round2 reissue all these great kits. Are there any plans to reissue the AMT aircraft kits? AMT had some great, simple aircraft kits and offered a lot of civilian, general aviation kits as well. I believe they were one of only a few companies that had general aviation models.
No offense, but on the " 1/64 Johnny Lightning '69 Cougar Eliminator" car the chrome trim between the A-pillar, and the quarter window on top of the doors isn't painted to match the real car. You might want to look into that since you strive for authenticity. Just an observation! Thank you for your time!
Some Great releases! BUT still quite bummed (and not seen it mentioned) about the Coors Great Dane Reefer release couple Months ago as I had two backordered at Tower Hobby, then they show up as generic NOT COORS kits! You have the sponsorship, made the Miller kits fine - WHAT HAPPENED? Suggest you PLEASE at least release the decal sheet so we can do it justice...
we need one 18th scale semi with steering directional front wheels. Also need that C 10 tub to out drag wheels Montro rubber stuff up under them 1/18 scale semi's need to be fully detailed. Everything opening. Everything detailed just like the real thing bring it to us and will pay after releasing some of the semi's. We need those trailers
I always love these updates only I never see any of the models you guys show on the shelves. I don't know if Hobby Lobby just isn't ordering them or if you guys don't deal with them but I'm still waiting for the stuff you guys premiered in January haven't seen anything even the diecast nothing.🍻TX 👍

Many people will love the re-release of the 650 TOS Enterprise. It seems it never falls out of fashion. And that box is gorgeous.

still no 72 impala or 74 impala model kitt yet
They can't be done my friend (71-75) ... they'd have to be retooled which is very expensive even reverse engineering is. I too would love to have those years as well (police cars, derby cars, factory cars, lowrider cars, etc. ) resin or 3d printing are options. Sorry...

Awesome kit releases! Any chance we may see a re-issue of the Slammer Police Van by MPC? I built one of those with my dad in the early 80s. Dad passed away 10 years ago now but I would love to build that kit up again. I think of dad every time I build an AMT or MPC kit. They were his favorites!

I don't buy on-line, and there are no nearby true hobby stores for many of us (that don't require a 4-hour round-trip @ $5/gallon gas).

Round 2's recent resurrection of the Chevy II station wagon kit proves the capacity to recreate certain lost tooling to make the kit complete. It begs the question: why not recreate vintage JoHan kits by computer scanning a mint, complete existing kit then using the digital data to cut new molds? I regularly- and happily - pay as much as $500 for certain JoHan kits like the Haulin Hearse. There has got to be a solid market for "digitally cloned" JoHan kits based on surviving vintage kits. I know Jonnie Lightning has already released a 1/64 die cast version of the JoHan Haulin Hearse- with a miniature box no less - so the licensing has likely already been arranged. I am certain thousands of adult modelers would gladly pay $100 for revived JoHan kits. I know Okey Spaulding is linked with the remains of JoHan, but where there's a will, there's gonna be a way.

Awesome to see Round2 reissue all these great kits. Are there any plans to reissue the AMT aircraft kits? AMT had some great, simple aircraft kits and offered a lot of civilian, general aviation kits as well. I believe they were one of only a few companies that had general aviation models.

No offense, but on the " 1/64 Johnny Lightning '69 Cougar Eliminator" car the chrome trim between the A-pillar, and the quarter window on top of the doors isn't painted to match the real car. You might want to look into that since you strive for authenticity.

Some Great releases! BUT still quite bummed (and not seen it mentioned) about the Coors Great Dane Reefer release couple Months ago as I had two backordered at Tower Hobby, then they show up as generic NOT COORS kits! You have the sponsorship, made the Miller kits fine - WHAT HAPPENED? Suggest you PLEASE at least release the decal sheet so we can do it justice...
we need one 18th scale semi with steering directional front wheels. Also need that C 10 tub to out drag wheels Montro rubber stuff up under them 1/18 scale semi's need to be fully detailed. Everything opening. Everything detailed just like the real thing bring it to us and will pay after releasing some of the semi's. We need those trailers
I always love these updates only I never see any of the models you guys show on the shelves. I don't know if Hobby Lobby just isn't ordering them or if you guys don't deal with them but I'm still waiting for the stuff you guys premiered in January haven't seen anything even the diecast nothing.🍻TX 👍
