In case anyone is wondering, that is a "Rolls Razor" It's basically a straight razor on a stick with a guard, and the case has a built in hone and strop. It's a fun shave. I keep one in my gym bag. It turns a lot of heads.

I have quite an interest in vintage razors and the Rolls Razor is certainly pretty unique in its working. It's almost the perfect bridge between a straight (cut-throat) razor and what we think of as a safery razor. They do give a fairly rough shave so aren't the best for everyone, but in these days of people wanting to use fewer throw-away products, they are a great option.
I have an interest in this as well. I plan on buying one of these sooner or later. Specifically for using daily, do you have any types that really intrigued you/ work exceptionally well that you recommend?

That’s neat. Did you know that medicine cabinets had a slot in the back that you dropped used disposable blades between the studs in the wall? Imagine decades of used dull blades in the wall when you open it up to remodel.
Its amazing who we think were far more advanced then previous generations. Then you see how advanced they we're. Like thats more eco friendly that disposable razors today

I think the vintage ones were you twist the handle look a lot easier. Instead of a back-and-forth motion, you spin a handle around.

It shaves like barbed wire. A few drops of honing oil and a finger tip of stropping paste makes it much smoother.
