For the face toning device you need a conductor gel to get the current to pass through your facial muscles. I personally just use aloe Vera gel because it feels cooling and nice during the treatment. The device is a smaller version of the tens device they use to stimulate muscle healing in a physical therapy session. Hope that helps!!!!!
