Hi Mr.Steve
If i use Ettore Brass Channel 18in and i want to use Unger rubber.
Do i buy precut 18in Unger rubber or i go with longer and then cut it myself?
Dont know if precut 18in rubber is not best fit and Ettore Brass Channel might damge frame of the windows ?
Been cleaning for 3 years now, your videos have been super helpful. Appreciate you so much!
I am one of those people who use this handle without duct tape and I feel it works just fine. Be careful with your edges and don't jam the squeegee into the sides and you should be good. I have had this slip on me a couple times but to me it wasn't a big deal . I actually like the slip because I am short so it is very useful to me to be able to slide the channel to one side and start to squeegee a window. Nice tip for short window cleaners like me. 5'7". Some new houses have windows just tall enough to need a 4 ft. Ladder. This trick prevents that for me. My 2 cents. Take it for what it is.
Happy window cleaning peeps!
I started my own window washing business a month ago Thankyou for your content it has been helping me so much
How much have you made?
I bought the Moerman upon your suggestion and because I have lots of Ettore brass channels. I thought it was cheap and hated the thing, at first. Now I love it and I use it mainly inside and on a pole and it's opened my mind to the use of a pole in situations I'd normally use a ladder. It's also way easier on my wrists while doing large frame interior work. I have 25 plus years experience cleaning windows in the Vail area and it shows anyone can learn new tricks of the trade. Thank you!
You're welcome, that tool has made cleaning so much easier for me as well. It does feel like a toy at first but after using it for a little, it gets pretty handy
I use my moerman excelerator with brass channels because of your channel! This should be on Wcr for sure!
I use it without tape and I love it. My channel does slide but it’s easy to slide it back to the middle
I’ve been practicing my S Tech. I was going to deep on the first drop of the first “ mountain “ thanks man.
I purchased the same combination from WCR and added the duck tape. Love this combo. Add it to WCR. Call it the SteveCombO
Thats my go to combo mate every day
Even as a newb I can say this is a great combo and great 1st squeegee that can do almost anything. The Ettore brass channels are the bomb! Those not using duct tape are missing out. It's needed imo.
Yes , great combo. People need to choose for them selves what type of,tape.
I use this combo w/o duct tape. I alternate this combo with the ninja 40• / sorbo channel. Love em
AWESOME VIDEO! I was wondering how to make the Moremon handle and the Ettorre brass channel work together.
By far my favorite setup! Love the versatility of that handle. I remember that review where you thought for sure the clip would break and I thought the same thing when I got mine, but they’re all still in tack surprisingly. I like the idea of selling the combo on WCR, I think once people use it they’ll love the versatility. Gorilla tape is optional😁👍🏼
Intact. 👍🤣
Please add the whole setup as an option on WCR!
Bout to try this with stainless channel this week
Awesome
1:20 I too want my rubber to be tight and strong.
Good idea with the duct tape, I'll have to try that.
I also noticed that The 2.0 handle will work very poorly with liquidator channels after being used with Ettore Channels, the worst part is how much the rubber moves around since the teeth on the handle no longer grips the rubber.
You also wouldn't want to sell this as a combo since you're actually damaging the Handle by using it this way.
Thank you bro!
Thanks for sharing !
So what DO you use for a 6 inch deep frame?
Do you have any idea when the moerman excelerarator 3.0 will come out?
My favorite is sorbo. But the moerman ettore combo squeegee is a fun tool to experiment with. I use ladder, not poles, mostly, so the advantages of the moerman are less for me.
Same here, but I can see the usefulness for some setups that you need a pole to access.
Where are we getting the unger green at!!!??? I can’t find it anywhere anymore!
Hello Stevo, maybe you would have to write to Moerman to get them to edit the 2.1 fixtures for Brass Ettore slats, what do you / you say? Greetings from Poland
What do you think of the under S plus channels?
I that you said you can't use green rubber in the brass channel?
Hey Steve O I need some help man. It's going to cost 429 Canadian dollars for me to buy just 1 moerman excelerator2 quick flip with microfiber and the 30ft pole being shipped to Canada. Is there any way I can find these things cheaper up here somehow? I can't figure it out.
market as a Steve-o tool and pre add permanent tape
I would say no there shouldn’t be a DIY on WCR for mods. I think it would just cause issues for WCR. If you put it out there some may take it as recommended and when they jack it up they will probably request a refund or get butt hurt and probably never order from there again.
I personally would like to see a video on removing hard water stains. I have seen all over TH-cam where people are using all sorts of chemicals, but I think having guidance from someone like you who has been cleaning for years now would be awesome.
Still love the vids .. keep’em coming.
Want to clean 8" interior wood framed windows. So what should I get for a handle, a channel, the rubber? For some reason Ettore does not make a super channel in that size. I always like nice tools for a job. Any suggestions?
I would get an 8” of this windowcleaner.com/ettore-complete-master-brass-squeegees?pt=MY and this to scrub the window windowcleaner.com/pulex-complete-microfiber-stripwashers?pt=MY
Nice video.
You talk about Ettorade Master rubber.
Do they also have a "regular" rubber.
I'm in Sweden and all I can find is Ettorade rubber. I can't find Ettorade Master rubber?
Do the teeth have to be removed for this one steve?
Why do you preffer the brass channels? Is they more better than stainless steel or maybe just looking good?
Brass channels are heavier and apply a bit more pressure to the glass.
@@Canonjac thanks!
if i was to get two sizes of channels what should i buy? new in the window cleaning community
14” and 18”
What's the issues with using the Moerman liquidator 3.0 channels?
The rubber shreds quickly on the ends, the angle of the clip digs in to the glass, the only way to correctly use it is to add a ton of soap to your solution and that only clogs the pores in the glass and makes the window get dirtier quicker. Overall Moerman is always a hit or miss, the handle is amazing but the channel just sucks. I receive messages every day from window cleaners who hate it so they switch to what I have done in this video and now enjoy using it. But if you like it then all power to you
Does moerman handle fits on pulex aluminium chanenel?(after unteeth)
I'm not sure, I havent tried it
Have you tried the mowrman 3.0 channels? Or atleast bent back the 2.0 dog-eared 3nds? Better than ettore and no detailing the top of pole work. I don't understand why people use anything else
I don't like how the rubber shreds easily on the end and drags on the glass, just prefer ettore brass personally
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner that was a problem with the 2.0 channels I agree. The 3.0 fixes that issue as the ends clips are pushed back. You can even do it with the 2.0 put em in boiling water and push em back. No more rainbow streaks or ends getting chewed up by the framework
What kinda clips do you use at the ends?
These windowcleaner.com/ettore-brass-clips-pack-of-twelve?pt=MY
What type of clips do you use on the ends Steve?
Ettore brass uses brass end clips windowcleaner.com/products/ettore-brass-clips-pack-of-twelve?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS
do any of you guys know why the channel holder is loose when I shake it ?
The channel clamp area does swivel, there is a lock button on top you can press to lock it or unlock it
Is the Ettore master rubber also a hard rubber?
I consider it more of a medium rubber
Hi Steve, what's wrong with the liquidator 2.0 channel, and do you not dog ear the ends of the brass channels?
Never enjoyed the channel along with many other veteran window cleaners. It has many cons compared to other channels on the market. It takes more setup then any other channel on the market, time is money and I don't got time to work soap in to the glass to make it work or put a "paper clip" at the ends to hold the rubber correctly. I get messages everyday from window cleaners who love moermans handle but hate the liquidator and thats been going on ever since it came out, Great idea but poorly executed and it shows that Moerman knows its an issue which is the reason they keep making different models of the clips. It does great on most edges but in the middle of the glass and grabs way too much and rubbers just shred on it which make it a more expensive channel to use with the same or worse results as other channels. Way to many window cleaners are worried about removing all the solution from the edges where the customer stares out the middle of the glass not the edges and this is where the liquidator fall shorts. It will leave rainbow streaks and skips on the ends way to easy due to the lack of support on the edges of the channel that every other channel has.
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner that is the fairest, and most accurate assessment of the liquidator i have ever heard.
It is spot on.
This helps, thanks Stevo.
@@grez6330 You're welcome
You need to
Hook me up with your green unger rubber plug 👀
Should we get the 2.0 or 3.0 in late 2023?
3.0 is the newest, but it’s only a small difference of the end clip
Awsome
What’s the name of the brand of the green rubber?
Unger green power squeegee rubber windowcleaner.com/products/unger-green-power-squeegee-rubber?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS
steve. 0.. try an ettore contour pro+
I want a swivel.. chair. for my van.
Ever use those Steccone channels?
Just got some to use with this, a lot of people have told me it works really nice!
Does this attach to majority of poles?
It does, any unger or moerman pole it will pressure fit onto or lock in windowcleaner.com/products/unger-optiloc-extension-pole?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS
Hey Steve, i use Unger Ninja handle buth dont like the Chanel.
What Channel can i combine with mine ninja ? Thank you 🙏
You can use any sorbo channels that are wide body, pulex alumax, or ettore super channel
Thnx bro you the best
Sell it with a few options one with the unger channel and one with the ettore channel but just add a disclaimer if they chose ettore.
I personally use the unger channel with it and although I do like it better with the ettore channel something about stretching the plastic feels weird to me.
Hey Steve O ,why do you prefer brass channels over stainless still?
The brass to me has the perfect weight to it, also the corners are sharper on the brass compared to the rounded edges of stainless
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner Thank you Steve, also for pole work you feel the weight helps right?
@@LePerrit Kind of but I feel that comes down to personal preference
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner got it!
Can you elaborate on why to use the brass channel instead of the Liquidator channel?
I'm just looking for a really good squeegee for my apartment windows, and then watched a few of your videos so far. And I see that you strongly recommend the brass channel but I wasn't able to pick up on particularly why yet.
👍🏻
tbh, personal opinion. I don't think they're gunna even legally be allowed to sell a modded with duct tape steve o handle/channel. lol. Maybe even like convince ettore to make a fanning/swivel channel or a moerman brass 3.0 excelerator brass channel. before that happens. but i duno. i dont work there.
Why bras channel?
It's just my favorite
two clips on each side!? or two clips.. lol
SteveO, I have the same question, 2 clips on each side.., how do you do that?
@@rtncs He does say two clips. meaning i think two on each side a total of 4. he probably shaves the end caps off the first two? or maybe some people hold the whole rubber in with one sided clip? lol
The liquidator is garbage. The only way to use it is with your alteration so I would vote yes they should sell it as a combo. They could even cut the teeth off for you maybe
Liquidator requires practice and a slight change of technique. It actually works very well for me. I have 19 years trad experience and used Ettore exclusively up until 2 years ago. Now i am using Liquidator for anything that i would use a 14 for and still using Ettore brass for larger panes. It is awesome on a pole for regular high glass. 0 detailing of glass! 100%
