    These are the best and most helpful videos to me...it shows what happens in real life trading many times when the original pitchfork is not being respected, but how you can roll with it and use new pitchforks or modified the original pitchfork to still make sense of it. I wish this video was longer though and you would have kept going with it when the pitchfork failed again at the end in a major way. Thanks for the videos, please make more like this.

    I use my andrews basically to put my TP and SL, if the trident is broken, I leave with a very low loss, and if occurs, I put the take profit mostly in the center line point. if I'm having profits and pitchfork brokes, I leave operation .
    It's extremely easy to comment "i didnt find useful" but when you see that each 100 andrews u found 80 green operations, and 20 red operations closed with low loss, you can comment.
    finally sry for my english if you find any grammar mistake.

    The first thing you should try when price breaks from a PitchFork is to convert it to a Modified Schiff Pitchfork. I've read 3 books on PitchForks and median lines so I am not pulling this from my arse. Give it a shot before drawing a new standard PitchFork.

    pitchforks work incredibly well in a up or down trending market but what about sideways?

  • @michrollinson88
    @michrollinson88 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I'm finding it very difficult to use pitchforks like this in real time. Assuming that a certain bar like the bearish one with buying pressure that touched the inward frequency line is the c axis of the pitchfork is a very bold assumption

    • @fractalflowpro
      @fractalflowpro  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Indeed. That's why we look for an intersection of techniques. A hybrid bar with a very pronounced lower tail intersecting a centerline and an inward frequency. You have to think how unlikely it is for that to be a coincidence.

    • @michrollinson88
      @michrollinson88 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fractalflowpro okay I understand that part. What about the trade itself? If you had entered at the hybrid bar or in the bar next to that hybrid bar would your trade have hit target with a 1:3 ratio? I ask that because price failed to reach the centre line of the upward blue pitchfork and then went immediately down and went below solid structure at 2 which would have stopped out the trade if the target wasnt hit. This is a 60m time frame. So between entry and the top of the chart where price was supposed to hit target is about 25 candle or hours. Adjusting the forks so that price hits target is very difficult in real time. Does that mean you would have to constantly watch what price does for 25 hours?

    • @michrollinson88
      @michrollinson88 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not questioning the validity of these techniques per say I'm just questioning the application of them in real time which proves to be a lot more difficult to me.

    • @fractalflowpro
      @fractalflowpro  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes of course that real time is more difficult. It would be strange if it was easier.

    • @michrollinson88

    Ed, we use Reverse Engineering when using pitchforks find entry points and exit points and possible lines that the price will respect in the near future. Does that mean that there is not rule for when to use the modified Schif pitchfork, or the width pitchfork, or a pitchfork with its A anchor point placed in an abstract vector other than Reverse Engineering what the price has drawn. Or is there a systematic rule for when we use various pitchfork types. Thank you for the answer.

    I didn't find it useful. It's very subjective to draw different pitchfork and to do frequency shift. You can draw pitchfork from different points and at the same time shift last drawn. Lot of subjectivity

    • @fractalflowpro
      @fractalflowpro  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, you didn't understand what frequency shift means. There are signs to look for to make the pitchfork identification objective. You also cannot run away from subjectivity in the contextual part of the analysis. You seem to imply that you can, which is a mistake.

    • @farrukhjawad1255
      @farrukhjawad1255 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It is quite easy do it like this.. draw pitchfork always in the direction of price ... like if prices are hiking draw pitchfork on hiking side of prices.. and when prices start to fall draw pitchfork on falling prices so when prices start to move away from ptichfrork lines it means the trend is changing and you have to change your position

    • @farrukhjawad1255
      @farrukhjawad1255 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So you have 2 pitchforks one indicating upside of a trend and other indicating downside of a trend. it actually works like this so when price fall below the lines of upside ptichfork it means you have to draw the downside pitchfork and when prices move above the lines of downside pitchfork it means you have to draw upside ptichfork again to find the potential reversal of market.. but remember pitchfork is only a tool to analyze the market trend and reversal it only indicates the entry points but profit taking you have to determine yourself by use of additional factors.

    absolute absurdity. I watched the entire vid again and understand what my professor told me about trading when I first started 20 years ago. I flabbergasted as to how some people, or maybe a good chunk of people, try to make their living in the markets. There are a lot more better tools out there with a higher accuracy than what I see with this. Like taking a candlestick reading course to learn how to read the most powerful indicator out there. Nothing in this video has sold me to actually make a trade decision using this tool, or with a combination of other tools. I hope there is a better, accurate descriptive example using this tool out there. For those naive enough to trust it
