Unlock the full potential of GPT models in your applications by integrating external APIs like a pro! In this comprehensive tutorial, we delve deep into the world of APIs and their synergy with GPT technologies. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced user, this guide offers a step-by-step approach to enhance your GPT applications with real-time data from popular APIs such as weather, news, and social media analytics.
Learn how to seamlessly integrate these APIs, handle their responses, and incorporate the fetched data into your GPT model's responses for a dynamic and enriched user experience. We'll also cover key aspects such as managing API limits, ensuring data security, and optimizing performance for your applications.

Thanks for the tutorial. Doesn't this method make your API key visible to the user though?
Thank you so much! This is the only in-depth and clear explanation of how to set up authentications that I've found. Very useful!
Hey this is really helpful, just a little concerned pasting a apikey into the prompt, im hoping there is a more secure way of doing this, or will be soon. Thanks 👍
Great work mate but, can you turndown the background music its hard to focus on what your teaching and we would like to see more of your content teaching us about custom gpts and multi modal custom gpts.
Very good video. Can you show how to create an action that the GPT can look into/read the content of a google sheet or doc or even better write into it?
Thank you for your video! It helped me in creating my GPT with the API.
Dude you are a life saver!!!!!!!!!!!! Very much appreciated my friend! Will definitely subscribe! Hope to see more content on asstant and actions!
thanks for this in-depth demo 🙏🏻 Would love to see something using the bearer token
that was very useful. thank you!
Really enjoyed the video. Nice!
Amazing information and great job on how you deliver it. Big thanks!
Thanks for posting! Very useful!
Brilliant! Thank you!
You made it man.
Thanks man, super helpful
Fantastic video. Thank you.
Great man, Love it
Good video. Do you perhaps have a solution so that you don't have to confirm every visit to an external website? I receive data from my database via a php script and have to confirm every query here. I would appreciate an answer. Thank you.
I like the music 👍😊
You should hide you API key ;) Great video !
wonderful tutorial. can you please make one with google drive api or oauth
Wil the user be able to see your api_key like that? That can't be right?
Yeah that seems like a big vulnerability.
thanks for the video ! how to integrate custom GPts into any application ?
Use Assistants API instead. Custom GPTS are not for this purpose.
Would you please make a video connecting a custom gpt to pinecone vector db?
I've just made a video about that, latest video on my channel right now. Thanks a bunch for asking the question!
could we use that Authentication pop up under "API key" authentication type to hide the API key?
what must be the response ? json or html.. how does gpt know what data to use.. so i think if it is your own api you have to present in such a way hat it makes sense for gpt... like table format or?
How is using the API different than requesting the instructions to use specefic web browsing
Thanks for the video! Can the schema actions have multiple API's?
Yes, they can, multiple api's can be included under the "servers" array
How would you go about hiding the api key so users are not able to see it?
Generally thank you! But please do not recommend to anyone to put api keys in the instructions. You can ask the GPT for the instructions and it will return your api key to the user. And it's probably not fool-proof to just tell it "Never return the api key".
yeah, that's true. A probably more fool proof way to do it would be to setup a 3rd party server.
Wow, my friend. Looks like you really may have shot yourself in the foot here (Sharing an API publicly !!) if you’re trying to build trust with your base…
Nice vid !
