Long-tailed macaques play a critical role in medical research and help scientists develop treatments for cancer, hypertension, depression and more. Sharing 92% of their genes with humans, these primates are essential for breakthroughs like cancer immunotherapies and gene-editing vaccines. Unfortunately, disinformation campaigns threaten this research, risking delays to nearly 15,000 experimental drugs.
