This Temple is to be believed to be older as Ramayana age, Later on Rebuilded by Kartikeypur,Katyur and Chand Dynasties of Kumaon , Uttarakhand ।
According to beliefs this temple is 3 year older than Setubandh Rameshwar also known as Rameshwaram jyotirling, Tamilnadu.
This temple is long forgotten in mainstream tourism and history.
