I play rhythm in our church. The Big Daddy chords. Mainly C, E, and A shapes. You have challenged me to start learning triads. Which is helping me to learn the rest of my fretboard better and putting in a few lead notes here and there. Although it's tough relearning songs in a new way, I can see that it is going to help me. Thank you for trying so hard to help people understand the concepts.

Algorithms... When i first saw this guy Trapp, I thought what is this guy doing? Then I watched him explain, simply, the method to the madness. Now the videos feel like I'm hanging with a buddy who just so happens to play guitar too. And your buddy, yeah, he's like a humble genius. He just wont admit it. 🍻

Just a little update after practicing some this morning. Been watching GT videos for about a month or two, just trying to take it all in. Purchased the mp3 with GT and Uncle Larry. So many good concepts. After the GT, BP vid on Soloing Over The Chord Changes and this one on triads, I downloaded a guitar fretboard pic that shows the notes, and boy, triads and inversions has opened up a new world for me. No more root note dictating where I need to be. It's going to take some time to get it all in, but I like where this is going. The options of where to play on the fretboard has grown exponentially. This is going to change the way I play guitar. Thanks again, GT. Don't give up. There are some of us old guys that it takes a while to catch on.

The imagination of your triad playing is killer.
Side note: Phrase 3 had me thinking you'd break into The Entertainer every time.
Side note 2: Any chance you could introduce us to the prop guitars behind you? They sit there, video after video, without saying a word.
Give 'em some props, my man😊

Hey GT been watching your videos for several years now. You got me doing the major arpeggios with scales stuff. Also I have learned a lot about triads from you. Thank you for going thru this slow. I play but sometimes you lose me. I usually get something even if I can't do everything that you are teaching. I know that it is probably not your thing and you are very busy. Dude, I am so happy that I stumbled across an interview with you and Tom on Rick Beto's channel, and I'm happy I did. I'm 53 years old and grew up on Motown and classic rock being from Detroit, Michigan. I didn't start playing until the 90s. I learned the Cowboy chords but never understood theory until I watched you break the caged system down, and I actually understand the concept....I swear it was designed for the entire fretboard with standard tuning being used. I am so excited now that I understand Positions and the shapes....My left hand rarely has to move, everything is right next to each other once you understand the concept and ger the muscle memoey for the shapes, and just map it out...Thanks for the encouragement with your incredible playing...You and Tom throw so much feeling into your playing. I got a buddy from Michigan thats my age that moved to Nashville and was a session guitarists and I seen him playing on television with a band he got hired to play in. Thanks once again for you and Tom doing Rick Beto show.

oh man it's really good right now - y'all the syndicate you, Uncle Larry, Jedd Hughes, but let's not forget Brett Papa, and Ford Thurston, hell Jack Pearson too, well hell Billy Gibbons, , and the Gruen's - what's about it that's nice is no it's not competitive it's a respectful brotherhood, ain't nobody trying to out-do anybody else and everyone is uplifting their colleagues for their own voices, to others. It's a nice model for what all of Murrica could be 🔥

Great variations of an A vamp that I have been playing forever .. but not like that. Goes to show you no matter how simple something is, there are always little nuances to explore to sound better .. and "mo cool" .. :)
