Another massive bonus for cooking over vendor food is the buffs it provides! Early on you have 20-30 stamina, having an extra +2 or +4 is massive. It only gets better and your casters will also enjoy the spirit bump as well.
For casters, DPS alone isn't the most important thing. Most of the time you should care more about damage per mana, as you are largely limited by your mana pool unlike a rogue or warrior who only has to worry about their HP. If you use more mana-efficient spells, you will speed up your leveling because you need to drink less often. If you play mage, I highly recommend a neat little weakaura called LavitzFrostbolt, it shows you how many Frostbolts/Fireballs you can cast with your current mana, and which one you should use. This is particularly important for the early levels before you get any DPS talents that boost one of these spells (like Improved Frostbolt - obviously, if you take that talent then you should always be using Frostbolt). And knowing how many casts you have available is really nice because, after having killed 1-2 mobs, you know how many spells you need to kill a mob. The weakaura helps you figure out whether you have enough mana to fight another mob or if you should drink instead.
@@stillnotchill2560 Yeah most warriors out there checking their rage to see if they can keep killing. Feel free to explain how a warrior or rogue is limited by their energy/rage pool...
You were just slow. It's great starter gold even for vendoring to get the ball rolling and give you buying power for investments on the auction house. Also farming devilsaur hides at max level is insanely profitable but when you're slow AF the market will be saturated, but this is the same for every gathering profession. If you didn't make money from skinning you just didn't play enough and/or incredibly bad.
Really? A week out and I’m still skinning like 20+ mobs around every single zone that I didn’t even have to kill. Still insane value. Selling a stack of medium leather is like 12 silver, it really adds up
Isnt it the opposite? If you're on speed with everyone else, everyone has the mats you do and is trying to sell them. Lots of mats on my server are still going for LESS than vendor price which is hilarious @@stillnotchill2560

Yeah us warriors and rogues *only* have to worry about HP. I love being able to spam sweeping strikes and cleave endlessly at 0 rage. 🤡
install an addon to save 2 minutes before you just default to fb
