@1974hurt Thanks for the reply! I ended up backing that part all the way out, thus starting from the highest point, and working my way back! Thanks again for taking the time to make this vid!
Do you have a video about replacing the silk string on the reproducer? I just rebuilt my edison and it's not that loud and I noticed the string was torn :(
No, I have found it is better to just buy a new diaphragm with the silk string attached then to try to repair an old diaphragm with rotted or broken silk
hey there! i have a c-19 and i’m EXTREMELY new to phonographs. whenever i am raising and lowering the lever, it gets stuck at the up position. after trying to follow this tutorial, the pinhole on the bottom arm doesn’t budge at all. what should i do? thanks!
@@1974hurt thanks so much for replying! i tried your number but i’m not sure if you got it. i sure did! it actually had a little divot to insert the oil in there. no luck though. is there anyway i can email you some photos of it and we can discuss tomorrow morning? i’d imagine it’s pretty late in whatever time zone you’re in. thanks my friend!
@@hemozzee yes, send me some pictures to dyslexicgeniushurt@gmail.com and then send me your phone number because I am at sea and will call you when I can. Tell me what time zone you’re in
this is exactly what i was looking for. which direction to turn if you want to lower the pin? Which direction if you need to raise the pin?
To lower it, you screw it in, to raise it you you unscrew it

@1974hurt sounds good I'll see of I can find a new one online. Thank you for the reply
also, i picked up some 3 in 1 oil. where should i oil besides the cup under the platter? thanks again!
Most photographs have boiling directions on the schematic underneath the turntable. You will want to oil the spindle shaft, and all the moving pivots.
@@1974hurt alright! i’ll do this! i unfortunately don’t have a schematic, but i’ve found an online manual that can help me out.

Try putting some sewing machine oil on the shaft of the lift lever where it goes up and down
