We take you grocery shopping with us as we try to find the best sales on groceries. It's getting rough out here as prices continue to soar in supermarkets all around the country!

Hello Danno, we’ll turkey for $75 a bird is not happening for this family this year. We have all agreed that maybe it’s time to change up traditions & do our own thing! We haven’t quite figured out what meat(s) we’re gonna go for but we will have a feast because we all contribute and they’re all good cooks whether man or woman! Family that cooks together stays together!!! If we luck out and get turkeys somewhere then we’ll use them otherwise it’ll be potluck!!!! My opinion as an old Mama Grandma is I don’t care what I eat so long as we can break bread together, good enough for me! ❤
I agree - I’m forgoing a whole turkey and making an inexpensive squash stuffed with craisins ground Turkey sausage and rice. At least it will look pretty

I canned up last year’s turkey to make room for this years. My son scored turkey for $.69 lb. and picked up 2 . Between the 2 turkeys and the 3 hams in the freezer the holidays are covered. Grab the specials when and if you can. Tomorrow they’ll probably be higher!
The free food lines are forming now at 3 am here it’s no joke ! The government really has to do something they don’t even open till 8 am here and lines bigger and bigger each week Lots of families in need here Hemet ca
The last thing we want is for government to get involved. They are the ones that helped to create this mess. :(
They don’t care, just keep paying taxes so they can send it to other countries.

Thanks Danno! Wishing you & Jess a fine day. I took advantage of the Meijer sale on the red raspberries and canned some jam yesterday. Good deal. I had a coupon for a free 4 lb bag of sugar, already had the jars and rings, and had bought the lids when Meijer had their 40% off sale on the canning supplies. So it cost abt. 75 cents a jar to make my own.
Thanks for video, I ran up to Meijer and got peppers, apples, raspberries, and bananas. Also got organic mushrooms for $1.49. Saved on all of it. Appreciate you 😊!

People are probably buying some of these items for thanksgiving and Christmas so they have it to cook with before the prices keep going up and by getting some stuff each week and not having to try to get it all at once especially if they have a lot of people coming over just like paper products so they don't have to do a lot of dishes .or TP stocked up for this occasion .
Thanks for the shout on the Campari tomatoes. Love those. Had bladder surgery yesterday. Was in the ER last night because of complications. Got about 2 hrs sleep. Really enjoyed your Meijers video today. Made me smile. You do such a good job!

Good morning Danno and Jessica. I saw where you were pointing out the Campbells chunky soups that are 3 for $5.00. That's a good deal! I wish they were that cheap here where I live. Average price here is around $2.75 a can,and that's when it's on sale. The new CREST store is now open. My sis said it's a really beautiful store,and they had great deals. I guess a person just has to venture out there to different stores to get the best deals. It truly is an adventure! Will be shopping at Meijer tomorrow. Traditionally, baking products usually start to go on sale in November prior to the holidays. Hopefully, we'll see turkeys go on sale, too. Aldi canned vegetables and packaged cheese are usually cheaper than Meijer, even when on sale. My wife bakes cookies for Christmas giveaways and gets a lot of her supplies like flavorings, nuts and sugars at Aldi. Some health-care plans offer over the counter drug allowances. Blue Cross gives each of us $75 every 3 months to spend. They'll be increasing the amount to $100 starting in January.
We went to Meijer on Sunday. They had different cuts of meats but not a lot of it. I have a $1.25 coupon off ground beef but there wasn't a lot. A shopper picked up a pack of the ground beef and threw it back down saying it was too much. I bought the cat food I was after and a few other things and left. I wanted some french fries but the price was way more than I wanted to pay and they stayed in the store!!
I've been making homemade French fries 🍟 for my husband lately and he's getting spoiled. He's started asking for them every day. I told him no yesterday and cooked a pot of fresh squash with our leftover chicken 😋 HE LOVED IT!
@@karengaddy6604 I probably should make my own fries. Do you air fry yours or tradionally fry them? I like zucchini and summer squash but that's about it.
@user-pg2bs8hu4k I cut the potatoes up and soak them in water 💧 for at least an hour to remove the starch. Them I fry them in oil. I let them cook without stirring until they are lightly brown, and then I stir them to cook the other side. When they are done, I drain and salt 🧂 them.
I buy whole carrots and peel them myself. They’re a lot cheaper and it’s not that time consuming.

We brought 2 pounds of driscoll strawberry at sam's for $3.98. They were good. 3 pound bananas at sam's is still $1.48 making them less than .50 a pound. they have been $1.48 for a while now.

The dollar general near me in central NC remodeled this week and added self check out. It is well stocked and organised so they have won me back as a customer that is unless it becomes a dirty, disorganised mess like it was before. As me grocery stores will accept the $5 off $25 coupon on the Saturday the coupon is good for. Check your grocery store to see if they accept competitors coupons. Lowes Food and Food Lion are two that will.
Our local grocer has Tbone for $6.99 this week. Shop your local small places. Yes you have to shop the sales but those folks are trying desperately to keep the shelves stocked. Keep them in business over these big box jokers.
I found that my local grocery store has better quality meats. I like supporting local businesses!!
I took pictures of steak in Kroger/ Fry’s in Arizona which was on the last day for 14$ but it wasn’t edible at all to me even if you cooked it that day

Hey there Danno. I saw another TH-camr go to Dollar tree this week and she said she saw some of the prices back to a dollar but didn’t say on what. Want to give you the heads up. 😊I don’t know where she is located. So not sure if Cincinnati has changed yet.

I got the BJs coupon book sale flyer in the mail today, and they had some coupons for thanksgiving items like the French’s fried onions for the green bean casserole. They had a coupon for bounty paper towels as well. Some decent deals with the coupons I suppose

Are you looking for paper products? I splurge on Cracker Barrell for my cheese slices - makes the greatest grilled cheeses sandwiches.
Yum! I call it an adult grilled cheese. Sandwich sliced white chedder, white american on wide pan whole wheat or 12 grain bread made with real butter. Sometimes I go wild and add sliced tomato. Orange cheddar and orange american is almost as good.

Just got in the mail our local IGA grocery store flier for Wednesday’s sales. They’re advertising T- bone family packs $5.98 per lb. Just might have to go get a few more for the freezer. The price has been slowly going up. Early this year the price was $4.89 per lb. On sale and increased over the last few months. But even at the increased price it still beats Walmart, Publix and Food Lion. Also, we’ve got a Family Dollar store that is having a Grand Re-Opening. Pepsi products 12oz 12 can cartons 3 for $10, family size Nabisco cookies 2/$7.50 pretty good for this area..I got more to check out. My Wednesday adventure has begun a day early! 🫵

Good morning my friend ordered gummy’s vitamins from Amazon and they were totally melted and we went to target 🎯 also for the vitamins and they were totally melted, and it wasn’t just one or two but all of the vitamins which are gummy’s were not usable. I don’t understand why they even put them on the shelves like that
The way the stores force with higher single item prices to stockpile multiple items for last weeks' prices... Looks like someone is dictating the average person to be a prepper.
Danno what is destilled water used for??
Usually some medical devices use it. Humidifiers, some O2 machines and I think some sleep apnea machines. I have a neighbor that uses it for everything from tea to cooking.
We use it to fill car batteries.Yes you should check your batteries, unless you have the Gel type.
Yep my friend uses it in his sleep apnea machine and he borrowed a couple of gallons from me when they couldn't find it when it was hard to get. I use it as the other person mention in bringing dead batteries back alive. i haven't brought a new battery in a long time. i have a stockpile of dead batteries out back and it is amazing how many you can bring back by adding distilled water and a slow charge will do. i usually have up to 5 gallons of distilled water here. right now I am just shy of 3 gallons because i have been bringing batteries back to life for the winter season that is coming up. oh, during the summer months I use it in my radiators too.
Why dose meijer make you buy 4 of something and not 1 for the sale price
I’m sorry, but I must say, we, as a people need to just stop buying the stuff. I mean, our economy is consumer-based right? We as the consumers have the power because we control what we buy. When these prices start becoming ridiculous, we need to just refuse to buy the product. Once the company realizes that we are not going to pay those prices, they will have to bring the prices down because no one is going to buy it. They would rather bring the prices down and sell their product than not make any money at all. If enough people in this country, did just that, stop buying the products at these outrageous prices, we can make a change. It’s that simple. There are so many products to choose from. Just suck it up and buy the cheaper ones for a while to make a point to these corporations. Am I wrong in thinking that?
