Best ride I've seen in a long time, on you tube... There is a universal sign when passing riders from the opposite direction,, hold up the number of riders behind you on left hand with last rider showing fist, spread the word and keep up the good work :)

When I was a kid on a hilly NZ dairy farm we had first Kawasaki G4TR 100cc (which I kind of liked), then TS185, TC185 (dual range and electric start), then TF185 (Mudbug) which I thought were all kind of rubbish. The TF had its place with low gearing, low seat height, side stands on both sides, standard large carrier etc. But I far preferred Hondas especially when the XLS&XR range came out in 1978 with the laid-forward shocks. The XR185 was a lot more fun than those Suzukis and even the XL125S made, I thought, a better farm bike in hill country with its better suspension and more tractable engine (Yamaha DT175 was also good once it got monoshock in 1978). Also the Suzuki clutch and brake cables were forever breaking while I never saw a Honda one break.

I 100% agree with you on the rubbish suspension haha but haven’t had any issues with cables or anything along those lines and it always gets a bloody beating haha

Some of the track must have been so stiff, bad thing that camera cant really show how stiff they are. Great ride guys

That was one very tough ride on those old bikes! I’m in NJ USA and I’ve ridden in quite a few enduros on the east coast but not one had as many roots as what you just rode. By the way, nice riding to all 3 of you. Very tough stuff in New Zealand. Was that in an actual course from an enduro? If so, what was the average mph for it and how many miles or kilometers long was it? In my teens, just starting out days in enduros I road a 1967 Yamaha TrailMaster 100 and then a 1970 Honda SL100. We had rocky hills, swamps, fire trails, tight stuff, deep sand, road crossings, railroad crossings, log bridges, and deep water crossings (up to the tank deep), among other things. I was about 150 lbs or about 68 kilograms and 6 feet tall or about 1.83 meters, so I wasn’t a big guy at the time. I was pretty good in all areas, with the exception of steep long hills and fire roads, both because of lack of horse power and top end speed but boy did I have fun and got hurt. Neck, back, and left shoulder still hurt. I’m 70 now and in pain every day still but I’m smiling real big right now watching you all have lots of fun. Thanks for shooting that totally awesome video. Loved it!!!!! I friend of mine, nicknamed Chainsaw, had a DT250 that always got stuck in swamps. His DT250 made great rooster tails of mud. I would stop and help him out. Sometimes it would take 3 guys to get that DT250 out of the mug. LOL! I never got stuck in swamps, hence my nickname, Swamp Fox. I passed a ton of riders in the swamps. LOL! Have a great ride!

Hey mate thanks for the comment this wasn’t part of an enduro even we just happened to stumble across the track on our travels as we normally do when we are on the old bikes. I love going out on the ts185 with all the new bikes to show them that a good old girl can do haha
