I saw that Giles lost to Malott by decision in a Fury Pro Grappling match. Also, do you think at some point Henry could get overwhelmed, go in for a takedown & get caught by a front choke of Jourdain’s? Or is Henry most likely going to stick to his striking regardless of how he’s doing
That grappling match certainly does tell us who the better pure grappler is but who knows how well that translates. As for Henry, that absolutely could happen, but I don’t imagine Henry gets overwhelmed. He’s the type who is used to a high pace fight. He can absolutely secure takedowns though. It’s a close line for good reason.
How good do you think Malott’s front chokes are? Giles has been submitted 3 times & all 3 have been by guillotine, idk if Giles shot for a takedown on those/if Malott will be inclined to shoot(or how good his takedowns are) but it seems like that’s a pretty good way to get a victory for Malott
Nice Breakdowns #138, But i don't see Jourdain having a too much of a problem with V.Henry due to Charles already having beat two Good fighters (S.Burgos and Fili) that were taller and longer and faster with more output volume already. You misunderstood, I’m not saying Blanchfield will only get her to the ground one time. I think she can bank rounds there. I could be wrong, I’ve been wrong before, heck I was even wrong twice last week, but I’m taking Blanchfield to get the takedowns she needs. As for Henry and Jourdain, I don’t think Jourdain has looked good as of late. Henry isn’t a world beater by any means but I think he can win a volume based decision. We find out Saturday! Always a chance I get both of these wrong and you can say you tried to warn me.
@pinkfreud13 I wouldn’t fault you a bit. It’s hard not to pick with your heart sometimes and even more so when it’s a card full of fighters you’re bias towards.
hot take on albazi and henry. after henry's last fight, where he got kicked in the nuts and did not continue to fight, it rubbed me the wrong way. quitter vibes. dick kicks suck but usually fighters fight on from it. and albazi is still suspect to me. deff lost his last fight against KKF, and cardio is a question for me. nevertheless - as always - thanks for the breakdowns!!!
If I remember correctly after Henry got kicked it came out that it was a pretty severe injury to his nuts. I could be wrong about that though. As for Albazi, I believe he will be back better than ever now that he has strength in both arms from getting his neck fixed. I think he will look career best. But again, I could be wrong.

He did get into the UFC off a front choke on DWCS. Also subbed Fugitt with a guillotine. I can absolutely see him getting it.
