Getting in to one's dream school is seriously one of the best feeling ever,I've been there and it's one of those experience I wish for everyone to have!
I am a freshman and currently failing math, and somehow this video makes me feel so motivated and I want to make my parents proud. Both of them got into medical school at a very young age, therefore I hope I could get into a good school! My 2 older brothers already graduated and one of them quit college while the other one got into The University of Sydney. I am hoping to get into a music school
To all those that didn't get in. I used to work for a very large IT company. Part of my role involved being on the selection team for the yearly graduate intake. Where people got their degree did not matter. We would rather take well rounded people who could work in a team with some personality, critical thinking and a positive attitude. In fact some of the worst candidates came from top universities.
Bless them all! These just make me smile. My Mum didn’t want me to go to Uni, I went anyway but I can’t forget that she thought I couldn’t do it. Yes I’ve got my degree and my Mum was there for graduation. But I still know she didn’t think I was smart enough to go.
...this is so awesome and gut wrenching at the same time cuz they don't really know what they're getting themselves into. Loans. Higher suicide rates. Etc. I tutored my Harvard buddy in math...I went to a local Uni. Every time I saw him it was like he was loosing his soul bit by bit. I kept asking him if everything was ok, but it clearly was not...I told his parents....they ignored it they were just so hyped and saw everything with rose colored glasses....until he took his life.
I’m crying because they are proud of themselves, and there parents are proud of them!
