Thanks Ian, I'm not sure they're great tutorials for others but I like to think I'm demonstrating if I can do it anyone can

Hi Henry, Nice work! I reckon when you have this all back together it will seem like a completely different driving experience.
Look forward to the next episode.

The difference I.bearing surprised m and I think it’ll be very different to drive. I’ve just failed to get the gearbox back in so far.

@@HenrysGarage It can be a challenge getting the gearbox to mate up with the clutch. It's important to get the bellhousing as as parallel as possible to be back of the engine or the input shaft will never engage into the pilot bearing. Once you are satisfied it's reasonably lined up, use a circular rocking motion while pushing the gearbox forward. It can also help if you have the transmission 'in gear' and twist the output shaft by hand while pushing the gearbox. That assists the input shaft splines lining up with the friction plate. If the output shaft won't turn then the splines are successfully engaged.
Hope this doesn't sound too obvious.... Good luck with it🤞.

Thanks Carsten, just seen this but it is roughly what I did. Getting it lined up is the hardest bit

Nice Henry, I'd be wary of putting grease where you found none unless specified, as any dirt or particulates flying around will embed in the grease and may cause excessive wear in time. Understandably the shaft gear had the Borg & Beck grease, greasing the lateral shaft's bushes I'd have to look at the spec. I know it does not seem to harm putting in grease to aid movement etc but it will attract flying debris. Also, just a pointer, the offset in the thrust plate with the new part might have been a clue as to why you had uneven wear on the fingers? Thanks for sharing, I'm sure it will be very useful in the future to other folk undertaking such work.
