Hey, remember when Roland said that the most mannered and well-dressed in the city are the most dangerous, craziest, or both? I'm sure that won't mean anything with the Sinners, right? Right, Ish? Sinclair? Mersault?
Nah, Mersault is just clean-minded, not mannered. He don't care about people's opinions, just does what he thinks of. And as for Sinclair... Well, Cain's mark and all that stuff... (Murder mode Sinclair let's goooo)
Random fact that nobody here mentioned so far: Effie and Saude's names, when combined, become 'episode'. This is much more obvious in Korean, and the joke was unfortunately lost in translation.
i love how you go from lobcorp and lor, a cast full of actual geniuses, whether it be in science or street smarts, literally anything under the sun, they’re all insanely intuitive and calculating then limbus throws a bunch of actual morons at you. feels like a consistent retelling of Sisyphus of trying to keep them under control
With Otis always trying hard to be on Dante's good side, it wouldn't surprise me if they were a spy under a false identity and it doesn't help that their whole background record is implied to be redacted. Roland always said that no one is too helpful in the city unless they want something for their own benefit.
Outis is literly the meme of "When you start a game and meet the person you know will betray you later". The only thing missing is her going "this world is imperfect"
She literally based of Odysseus from Odyssey,to be precise, her name comes from one of the episodes where Odysseus and his comrades were trapped by Cyclops, one of them asked for Odysseus name. The name that Odysseus said wasnt his real one,he pretended and said that his name was "Nobody" so when they finnaly tricked and blinded Cyclop, this Cyclop, being unable to find humans himself, asked for help from other Cyclops, saying that he was blinded by nobody, because of that other cyclops thought that their brother was just lying to them, therefore leaving him alone, which gave Odysseus and survived members of his team chance to escape the island. The catch here is that, since Odysseus is Greek and the story was created by Greek,"Nobody" is translated variant,in original Odysseus called himself "Outis" or something like that, and "Outis" translates to "Nobody". What raises even more red flags is that all sinners have a nicknames, respectively written on a language of country from where the original character of book, poem or novel originated from. Rodion nickname for example is "Раскол" (Raskol) which means Split or Slash or anything related to dividing something with a slash or breaking somehting apart. Its reference to lastname of Rodion Raskolnikov and fact that he killed old women by axe, splitting her apart. But Outis mickname is.....Outis,she is basically named Nobody (Nobody) which makes me think that Outis isnt her real name and she either double agent that will snitch us,or she isnt gonna snitch us and just trying to hide from authorities and cover up identity, since she is a Smoke War veteran, who probably did a lot of Warcrimes, that it said why we cant access her story in her introduction scene.

I swear with the new people we get in these chapters (plus Don) we're always getting someone who's down at least somewhat bad for Vergilius. And then we have Effie sharing a name with the glittery bitch from the Hunger Games.
See. As opposed to Arknights where there really is no reason to hire all those murder hobos, here no one gives a shit. Vergilius himself is a psycho. It's literally almost impossible to find a sane person in the City. And I love it.
Funny little story. This entire scenario reminds me of the one time last year, when a PM D&D group I took part in needed to infiltrate a casino vault in J Corp. That casino does not exist anymore and we almost became wanted fugitives if it wasn't for one of us remembering to wipe the video logs. Also no witnesses cause they all got buried in rubble. It all started when our local priest with a regenerating chair strapped with C4 decided to commit a breach and clear. Then we found the experimentally locked missiles after seeing that the vault was shut tight.
Have to say, I like how every advance of the text is sounded by the ticking of a clock, just like the character your controlling. I think that's a neat little thing they added in.
