my next ride, buying one next year, people say its ugly in pics in reviews but when they see one in person, they are blown away and its selling faster than the telluride because its while both are smooth, the highlander is more nimble. People praise telluride and end up getting this because telluride is not as economic in mpg

@@gadflysejour6712 yes...but I don't use it for security/safety reasons. I don't need to remote start my car for some bastard who thinks he can jump into the driver's seat & make off in it! Remote start only unlocks the driver's door...nothing else. Also once I am in the car, the engine shuts off so you have to restart it for security reasons. This guy did a terrible job! For starters, he blabbed on and on for a whole 1 minute and 23 seconds before getting started with the purpose of the video. One thing about the app that he didn't mention was that the app is absolutely worthless. We quickly found out why the app has such horrendous reviews! We deleted it well before it expired since it kept kicking us out, making us have to reset the password over and over and over again. When we were able to sign in to the app, it would often freeze and kept giving us notifications that it was 'trying to connect' while attempting to lock our doors, yet nothing ever happened. The app is a very disappointing joke!
For the remote start using the fob, it would have been helpful to actually tell us what buttons you pushed!!
For the washing feature of the back up camera, it would have been helpful to tell us what you were actually doing in order to wash the back up camera!

The fancy display's primary purpose is to upsell you to a slew of bs subscription services you don't need if you have a decent smart phone. If you want to pay a crap ton of money, you can have a bunch of redundant for fee subscriptions. That ridiculous display that is always in your face is a constant obnoxious subscription salesman you can't get rid of. If you don't opt for the subscriptions, you probably use 20% of the display's capabilities.

Parking brake electric don’t need it I don’t use a parking brake ever. Aluminum hood and composite rear door not worth the extra money. LED lights. Can’t stand those. Definitely can see where the squirter is handy on salty roads!

I didn’t know about the auto start feature in the fob. My key fob doesn’t start the car when I press it three times. I went right out and tried it. I did it multiple ways multiple times. Nothing. But the app does start it. Maybe they didn’t include it in Canadian models?

    • @mannydrives

      S. Allen it probably because of the foot activated hatch. The hitch would most like render it useless.

@@mannydrives Thank you for the reply Manny. So is it possible to add a factory hitch and electrically disable the foot actuated switch? We want the hitch for the bicycles but prefer the Platinum trim. I suppose we could fall back to the XLE for the hitch.

      S. Allen no problem and I appreciate the question.
For me, I would look at alternative mounting options for the bikes such as roof racks or hatch mounted.
