Better plot... Less uglier and stupider-looking characters like Ripto and his Riptocs. They need a better redesign to look more bad to the bone. Less glitches... Better graphics... Less cheezier and dumbed-down dialouge... Etc.
Meh there isn't much to salvage. You'd have to change around so much it might as well be a new game. Glitches & framerate weren't the only problem. Overall level design and gameplay was a lot worse and boring than the original trilogy. They tasked a new, smaller, and inexperienced studio to produce a new next-gen game for a notably big franchise from the previous gen. *Along* with giving them little time to develop. Recipe for disaster.

Even as a kid who liked Enter the Dragonfly... yeah, I played Spyro 2 and Spyro 3 as well and I knew it was a far cry from those games before I even knew what far cry meant beyond that expansive FPS franchise.
The best collectathon game I have ever played when a child was Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone on a play station. You should try it. It had pretty disturbing content into it that wasn't mentioned in the movie.

it sounds like that because early 2000 shows and games had really low mic quality given it a raw feal and yeah you can hear the recording whenever there isnt music playing cause holy crap those early shows mixed there music and sound effects loud

Oml, first EVER person of existence that I've ever heard the Shrek game being mentioned! It was one hell of a game and being 10 years old trying to figure it out was mind bending, dont think I ever made it past hanzal and gretel or the mother goose, battle of Biniki bottom was one for me for the gamecube that has a special place in my heart along with Shrek xD You should totally try Battle of Biniki bottom! I bought the remastered collector's edition 😂
