As cs student i agree on most of the things u said. But it is not necessary to have all the skills before getting into the field.I mean u get into the field to LEARN yea? U will have 4 years to learn that. Knowing the basics and some concepts of programming is beneficial and it will make the journey relatively easy(u will pick up other things relatively quickly) and provide the free time to learn other concepts in deep(if u want ofc) but don't let this demotivate u if u are someone who has planned to get in. It is about how hard you work after u got in and how much u are willing to sacrifice in order to catch up or even go beyond the competition. Plus as a bonus u can work while learning. And If u know like one programming language it will be a lot easier to learn other one. If u wanna know the nitty gritty things start with c or c++(since most languages come from them) believe me it will be easier to move on to other if u start from hard ones. but if u don't care about the details(how they work) u can start with python its basically English with no grammar.
The networking and the projects part just perfect explanation.
