Well, to be fair, I visited there around Easter in 2009, so things had started to get bad but it wasn't terrible yet. And yes, a follow-up video in 10 years would be a great idea.
Loved Ireland!!! Can't wait to come back :)
The nicest people you can ever meet and chill out with making Ireland an outstanding city to explore, great video and I soon hope to see myself visit Ireland :)
Very nice video. Thanks for the info on Dublin. I would like to visit there someday. Can't wait for part 2.
I was there in the Spring, but I've got to think there's some great outdoor festivals and goins-ons around the city. Whelan's has great music too (and it's a pub, so you get the best of both worlds).
Looks like as low as 20 and as high as 27. Good weather to walk around in (and explore the pubs).
Thanks, I wish I could sing like him too: (Google Kip's Wedding Song).
I recently got back from Dublin and its fun seeing everything again
dublin is incredible! i ,,lived'' in dublin for a month and i fell in love with the city!
if you are a fan of shopping and the sea you must go to dublin!
tnx for posting!
DUDE THIS VIDEO IS AWESOME I'M GOING TO WATCH PART 2 NOW:D
caps was essential ;)
Great video... gets me motivated because Ireland is on my bucket list as well as the Guinness brewery.
Nice, have fun! I've already started listening to Celtic music ahead of St. Patrick's Day, and it's only January.
Nice choice of music! Also great to see a video that doesn't solely focus on drinking.
Love travel guides
Ireland never fails to impress Bravo,!
Thank you! I'm awaiting my 2nd trip to Ireland (May 2013), after my 1st (Dec 2012). Thank you for sharing, I know, I still have plenty to enjoy! :-)
I will definitely check it out since I will be staying just north of there.
Thanks!
Thank you for posting this.
Great video! I enjoyed the one from Cartagena and Medellin too! You should make a trip to El Nevado del Ruiz, an active Volcano about 80 miles from Bogota!
from Dublin, you did a great job, and alot of research.
wonderfully done video.
Great video, thanks for visiting us
Going to Dublin this wednesday :) looking forward to it. Going to just submerge myself in everything there, and ofcourse, the beer! :D
Excellent musical taste!
No, quite the contrary. There's a ton to do, see, and experience. There's also a huge population of young people, which explains the beer, but there's plenty to do otherwise.
Thank for sharing
Your voice craic's me up
Brilliant hahaha
Great Video. Looks like it belongs on the Travel Channel.
The people who are hating on Ireland it's because they're so fucking envy. Anyway the people in Ireland it's hot as hell and Dublin it's one of the coolest citys in the world. The irish people are welcome in Argentina. Greetings from Argentina! :)
I really liked the movie Michael Collins, it's a good background to some history. Scotland is not independent, it's part of the U.K., although they do have some independent functions, like its judiciary system.
I'm heading there too with my friends this week, only we're there 2 days later ;-) although I'm not really into mainly hanging around in pubs and rather see a bit more Dublin and a little bit less beer ;-)
Nice, have fun. Try to spend a bit of time outside the pubs if you can ;)
I'm going to Dublin this sunday! yeeeey
What's the weather like in summer? Is it cold? :O
did u enjoy ur stay in dublin? :] hope us dubliners treated u well. loveee ur accent, hav u got any irish family?
Question: I'll be visiting Ireland for the 2nd time in April. The first time I visited Cork, and the Southern part of Ireland. I'm planning a trip to the western part of Ireland. My question. Which is better, Sligo or Westport ?
Aw, sad to hear that. I guess it's been a few years and business may not have been good for them. Do you remember the name of the place nearby?
Thanks for the info. I might try Donegal by car rental and train to Galway from Dublin.
Thanks!
I'm proud to be Irish and I love Ireland. May it always remain faithful to God and remain a Catholic country :)
Thanks! And yes, there's obviously plenty to do outside of drinking. I try to do my best to avoid stereotypes and cliches when doing these videos.
This summer has being the first summer in three years when it has being warm but expect cold and rain as well
@UniGirl0827 I was there in April, but I'm sure it's nice in September, probably very similar to the northeast U.S.
Simen,, rnjoy your trip to Dublin........if the "PUB CRAWL" is still available, do it........you will visit all the really historic pubs in a few hours, then you can make an educated choice, which ones to return to.
Yes I do. It's a very multi-cultural city with a large immigrant population from all over the world, so I wouldn't think twice about it.
Yay :] Next Year Im Going Here And Im Going To Tour The Guinness Distilery.
@rhinnawi95 Which one? They are all listed at the end in the credits.
@JRB0530 Definitely, you'll have a great time.
Where is "The Ardee House" bar.? I can't seem to locate it.
That's me at 4:32 half behind the pint!
im sorry ive gotta run to the store and grab a few pints. this is too much temptation !! be back in ten !! lol
Wich are the name of the songs u used ? they are pretty cool
Guiness is off the chain!
Hey Expeditioner, what do you think about an American boy studying abroad in Dublin, Ireland? Good idea?
@S4561230 Yeah, it does that to me as well.
What camera did you use in these videos?
The Ardee House is closed up. I ended going to a pub just west of there. No frills. Just a few locals. No music, no TV, very quiet. I'm sure that's how they want it.
the site you promoted in the description is down.
there are:
"This site is no longer in service or has been disabled due to a terms of service violation.
Este sitio ya no está en servicio o ha sido desactivado debido a violaciones en las condiciones del servicio.
Diese Seite ist nicht mehr in Betrieb und wurde wegen Vertragsverletzung gesperrt."
"No were not friendly, were just nosey" lol
It's a shame that there had been a housing slump and Irish Banks being bailed out by the BoE. It is still a farcry from the Ireland of Angela's Ashes though, thank god. I still hope to visit someday.
great, upload more video if you can
Ha, sure, I'll just need you to book me a few international flights if you don't mind.
The song names are all at the end of the video.
English is the main languae, but gaelic is still taught and understood in many parts of the country. Ireland is its own country. Northern Ireland is not. If you have time, read up on the history and struggles of the country, it's fascinating.
@FranWins0827 Yeah, unfortunately, I agree. Oh well, it was what I was born with!
the walkmen!!
You're no fun ^_^ Yes, we will be taking in some cultural stuff aswell. And I really want to see some nature. We'll only be there 5 days, but that's plenty enough to see plenty.
And I am sorry to disappoint you, but pubs will be the main ingredient here.
@ancbcc haha,English is the official Language of Ireland, spoken by 100% of the population on a daily basis. Irish Gaelic is spoken by only a small minority(35%) of the Irish people..
You can find it on Yelp (yelp.com/biz/ardee-house-dublin)
Sounds so much like Napoleon Dynamite's brother!!
what is the first music in this video?
thx
please! the name of all the songs! :D
bell x 1 - great defector
i want to go to dublin so bad
You should be thankful, because normally a Mr Nice Guy would be treated with an iron rod in Dublin. The women you spoke to were clearly out of their comfort zones and had to force themselves to be nice. The Irish would demand that you write a letter to thank them for being nice, and not telling you to fuck off like they would have done to a local! That's what Irish people would expect. But at least you have shown that you like beer and Ireland, which makes you acceptable.
Whats the song at 5:30?
@ancbcc ireland is a republic and we speak english
Ireland is amazing, especially Dublin:
Temple Bar, Bank of Ireland, National Gallery, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and Rainsford Street. Super Video! I posted on supernius.pl
Yours!
Haha next year im touring the Guinness Brewery ;DD
i just said the exact same thing! LOL
u sound like Napolean Dynamites Brother!!!!
I applied for a job in that place. I wish I'll get it. Pray for me. :))))))))
oh and i 4got 2 say my big bro goes 2 trinity college! :D

it would be funny oh be shure and drink beer or jackdanualsss before hand
Hello Anya
O'Donaghue's is the best
the music cut in/cut outs are obnoxious
i like most of the comments on this vid...most of them arent about ireland! lol
4 frenchman watched this.
japanese whiskey beats irish whiskey anytime
We have being making whiskey for at least 1000 years ago before the japanese
Westport without a doubt is better than sligo. If you are going west, Galway will be the highlight. If you are only going for a couple of days do not leave Galway. Westport is a lovely town full of great irih pubs and character. On a scale of 1 to 10 for irish towns, Westport 8 sligo 3 Galway 10. Dont miss aran islands in Galway or connemara or Kylemore and if you are going to westport go the leenane way. nothing between galway and sligo. boring journey, no nice towns or anything.
Been to Dublin, Irish people are extreamly friendly....People from Seattle are not...:/
Just wear a Canadian flag on your backpack.
hav a feeling mrmickroach is on here again with two accounts arguing with himself being anti irish. what a clown
What are the women like?
byłam piekne miasto ,duzo ładniejsze od Belfastu
drunken city! hoho...
Since when was dublin the worlds most popular destinations. I live in dublin all my life but how is one of the most popular places involve dublin. The only thing why people come to ireland is to see nature out side of dublin and through out the country, lets face it bertie did enough damage and dublin is half shite and half overpriced.
Ireland is not safe for a Welsh person! irish and Welsh people are supposed to be enemies! I saw some Irish women jump a Welsh lad in Dublin once! hahaha
Well, that's dreadful and not funny, and I'm neither Irish, nor Welsh. I'm English. ;o)
I. Do not. Agree
Not a good representation of Dublin at all!
No? Sorry you didn't like it, I was there for about 5 days and did my best.
TheExpeditioner
I'm a Dub, so five days is not really enough time to know us:) Glad you enjoyed your stay though!
tricia Keegan Yup, that's always the problem with visiting anywhere. Well, next time I'll shoot for much longer!
:) Try to find a Dub to show you around, we have a great city and are a friendly people:)
Okay I just got there. at 0:17 I go RIGHT to where ???
In this New year! Love the background music. Just booked my trip to Ireland :D sooo excited. :) Great video btw
