Exactly! For few minutes I thought by stable money he meant FD, Gold etc😂. Later realized, he was promoting his startup. Also, he was talking positive about startup culture. Hence, it all added up eventually.
But my key take away from this would be that Indian stock market is hunky dory for now. And our stock data has only seen slowness of max years(2008-9 recession) or even covid. But there has been a time where this slowness lasted for a decade like the great depression in US. Again followed by WW2.
So we really can’t say slowness will be for 2 years. In such cases, there is a good chance that bigger companies would wipe out during this period. So lets “wait and watch” for next 6months to an year.

If you are someone from the Finance background and Into selling your products or services, like me. You would instantly understand this is a very subtle and brilliant way to Promote your business. I wouldn't say this isn't informative but somehow this has become the new way of Advertisement. Subtly talk good and promote the product without letting anyone know. Co-founder of Stable money only talking and appreciating FDs for an hour. What do you think he's trying to convey? And isme ultimately kiska fayda hai? Think about it....

True i was also thinking that way only while watching this podcast……the guest was emphasising more on not taking risk and make FD while indirectly promoting their business by saying there is no one to help or advise financially to the middle class and above middle class people. There is a say that “if you can’t convince them confuse them”. That’s exactly what this guest is doing first he is creating doubt and advising not to invest in mutual fund and stocks and on the other hand saying take help from some financial advisor.

Very good first step for young investors. Lot of fundamentals and approach on spot. 👍🏻 But overall this episode could be more insightful. Saurabh over emphasised on FD. This episode became more about FD than personal finance unfortunately. He totally skipped the MOST crucial safe longest term investment: PPF. Starters must and must know about this powerful and primary investment option. What should be your shares & MF mix, how much should you spend on personal life and what are the ways to do it, was so much needed. How to bring financial discipline? Which apps you should uninstall which lead to binge spending, etc? All totally missed out. How auto sweep can be used. Personal budgeting, vacation planning, tax planning. So much more. Yes it would be a long episode but what is needed is needed. Ranveer’s crisp and on spot distillates were the best and most insightful in this episode. Besides, that RBI insurance thing about FDs. Look forward to a really bullet points, roadmap kind of episode on this FOUNDATIONAL TO LIFE topic: Personal Finance.
