It's not really difficult. I recently bought a casio fx 991ex, and it didnt take me long to figure out how to use it. I had actually downloaded an emulator earlier from the casio website, and learned how to use the calculator on the laptop.
It does differ from person to person how fast he/she can figure out how to use calculator.
